No Bueno
First look really blew me away but upon further inspection it lacked in very important things. Let’s break it down to pros and cons.Pro: amazing lookCushioning materials look like they’re gonna lastThe burlap material really feels nice and high qualityCons: I don’t know if they did a proper quality check because the one I got has its cushion tearing off of the case. And the whole case doesn’t line up when closing it so you have to reopen and close it so that it lines up altogether. There’s also many loose threads around the case when I got it. Mind you I am writing this material at the first hour that I have received it.Overall looks really nice but needs better quality check before shipping the item out to the customers..

Good-looking Solid Quality Case
This is a beautiful case. Seemingly well made with quality materials. It fit my German-made Hofler well, albeit a little snug around the body. But to be fair, my resonator is 14” in diameter exactly and I read that it measured either 14” or 14.25” on the interior. I’m guessing it’s probably closer to 14.25”-14.5” without the thick padding — so probably right around 14” with it. But even so, it still fits in fine and if nothing else, will at least have less room to move around. I read someone’s review about the handle being slightly off center. I was surprised when it first arrived how much it was off, but with my resonator banjo inside, it’s weighted closer to center so carries like regular. Overall solid case, good quality, and sharp looks for a decent price. We’ll see how it holds up after a few months. With the Gator name, I’m pretty sure it will last.

Great house and occasional out case
This case is very light and has very good foam padding all around. What I like about this case as opposed to others in this price range is that it is a snug fit with more that 1" of soft padding around the rims and padding to match the contour of the arched back. The other Canadian hardshell cases that I own have 1/2 inch of less spongy padding and a 1/2 inch of play so the mando can shift around inside the case. My instrument is a hybrid A-style which I built straight off an F-5 blueprint, minus the points and scroll (think Collings A) and it fits perfectly in this case. For what I need, storage in the house and trips out to play music with others, it is perfect. I'm not a regularly gigging musician however, and never just throw my mando case in the back of a van with a bunch of heavy sound equipment that could crush it anyway. What this case is not is bomb-proof super protection, that will easily cost you 3-6 times as much. The canvas covering is untreated, some varnish to impede picking up dirt would be perfect but for this price, I really can't complain

Perfect in all aspects
I ordered this with a little bit of hesitation after reading about other cases that weren't large enough for some mandolins. This fit my A-Style Eastman perfectly and I'm sure that it would fit a similarly sized F-Style as well as there is room for the scroll and the point. I love the look of the burlap fabric - very clean appearance. The closures work well and hold the case tight. The only drawback I would mention is the lock. It seems like the cheap trunk lock that I used to pick with a paperclip as a kid. This isn't a concern for me as I don't foresee traveling with my mandolin often and certainly don't believe that a rogue airport employee is going to break into my case.EDIT: I tried to fit my Rogue A100 and it was too large for this case. That being said, cases are meant to be snug to protect the instrument from movement. It fits my Eastman perfectly...I don't really need a case for a $60 Rogue anyway.

Nice, but watch out for the handle
I got this for transport of my larger banjos ... a cheapo Good Times resonator, and 1890's repro resonator, and an 1860's repro tackhead. They all fit, though the Deering is pretty tight width-wise. Another 1/2 inch, forget it.The case is nice; classy. And nicely matches my repros. But the earlier comment on the handle is a good one. Carrying a heavier banjo, the handle doesn't 'steer' .. kind of wiggles. So in tight quarters, not easy. And the pseudo-leather cracks at the hinge joint. Brand New.I'd buy it, if again. Just beware.

Even better than I hoped for!!!
Absolutely gorgeous padding, sturdy quality. It was a perfect fit for my Deering Goodtime II.**Order a bottle of scotch guard to keep it looking new.**

Looks Great!
This was a gift for my husband. He had his grandfather’s old banjo so we were looking for something that reminded him of him. This is sturdy and looks really good. He’s very happy with it

Nice looking but worth the money? Meh....
The fit and closure of this case, while better than the inexpensive hardshells I have purchased for guitars, are still not up to the level I hoped for in a case that cost what this one does....

Does the job
Got this for a reduced price and didn’t really know what to expect. It fits my 1937 Dobro 14 fret perfectly though. It’s a plywood fairly standard hard case covered in very pale polyester/ linen faux tweed type material. There are one or two quality control issues but nothing major. The retaining strap is twisted and some the finishing on the trim is a bit dubious. I’m glad l didn’t pay full price. Because it is so bright looking l’ve applied some clear satin furniture laquer which not only makes it a a bit waterproof but makes it look aged in keeping with my 84 years old guitar. All in all, not the most practical purchase but it definitely looks the part now.

Mandolin case
This is just a gorgeous Mandolin case and I am very pleased with It! Internal protection is thick and nicely shaped for the curves and points of a vintage shaped F type instrument The blue velvet gives a very luxurious effect and the little pocket should hold a tuner, picks and whatever safely. The outer case is a lovely linen type fabric in a natural greyish finish with a classy brown trim The handle is nice and robust with a leather type grip and the catches seem strong and have an antiqued gold finish which looks great on this case It suits an F type Mandolin perfectly and sets off my antiqued pale yellowish wood Mandolin to perfection I will investigate perhaps finding a spray on protector for the light coloured cloth finish which might be sensible, particularly if you plan to take the case out and about a lot I am absolutely delighted with this Gator case and would recommend it highly to anyone looking for a really lovely and unusual case for their precious instrument!.

Not the finest resonator guitar case on the market
Not the finest resonator guitar case on the market, but more than adequate, giving good protection to the instrument. And really good value. Use some protective spray, as recommended by the manufacturer, if you are doing much travelling with it - the cloth covering is attractive enough, but a very light colour.
