Magellan Explorist 110 North America

Oh how I have struggled to figure this out. It took me a night's sleep to finally figure out how to just turn it on! It needs DIRECTIONS -- which is pretty funny, because a GPS is made for giving directions! Yet, it doesn't have any of its own.! Also, it advertises that it comes with a cord to connect it to a computer. I searched thoroughly in the package for a cord. NO. There IS NO cord! I was able to use a cord from my digital camera so didn't have to buy one. BUT, then I needed help from my daughter-in-law as to how to use the cord and get the GPS linked to the Geocacher's web page. It still gives me some grief because I know this thing has a great deal of information in it -- but I learn best by reading and carefully following directions. I can remember that way. If you simply TELL me something (as my sweet daughter-in-law will do), I have a terrible time remembering two weeks later. I think this is a great device for people who are fearless in diving in to figure it all out. As GPS devices go, I think actually this is a very good one.
