awesome down home recipes though the index is a bit confusing hard to navigate through but do able. but one of my favorite cookbooks. this one and her other cookbook has recipes like for duck, frog legs, deer for example too

I love this recipe book! I have shared it with my family and we have all created many dishes from the recipes. Delicious!

I don't really cook--that much. I like the hints Ms. Kay puts on almost every recipe. I need all the hints I can get, I have made the pork chops and gravy, and the Coca-Cola Cake so far....both turned out great.

This is another winner for Miss Kay and Chrys Howard! I love how east the recipes are. Most ingredients needed you would have on hand or easy to pick up. I love this book just as the first one! I had initially ordered the paperback. When I got it I saw that the binding wasn't made the same as the first book in paperback. I ordered the hardcover and I am sending the paperback edition back! Thanks Miss Kay and Chrys! I would love to come and sit in your kitchen Miss Kay and chat with you over some coffee or tea and talk about life. You are an absolute inspiration to me! There are so many wonderful recipes in this book. The chocolate cake, green beans, and fruit salad are a hit for our family and easy to take to church or any other social gathering. Love Miss Kay!

My pages were upside down. I waited too long to return it - I was wondering if anyone else's pages were like this one? Love Miss Kay, love the recipes in this cookbook. I can't wait to try the fried pickles.

I didn't like the cook book at all.I thought for sure there wood be a recipe for frog legs and other cajun foods.

Wonderful cookbook full of simple and easy to follow recipes. Different ideas without being too "fancy" or strange. It's a large book with heavy good-quality pages and wonderful full-color photos. The personal photos and family stories are a nice touch. My mom immediately stole this cookbook from me the day I bought it to copy down a bunch of the recipes for herself. I believe this would make a great gift for any level of chef.

Haven't had the chance to cook anything yet but all the recipes sound easy and delicious and usually made from things you have laying around the house. Miss Kay also included a lot of healthier recipes and I was hoping for that! The only downside is the lack of pictures of the food, if you are a visual person like myself that may be a bit more difficult with you. But beautiful presentation!

Looked great ! Lots of practical recipes. The gift recipient and her family were delighted not even knowing a second cookbook Miss Kay Cookbook was published.
