The most excellent Turkey roaster! I used this for the first time for Thanksgiving, and it was absolutely brilliant for roasting potatoes in with the Turkey. They came out crispy and delicious! The lid is an added bonus too, you can use it for servicing up sliced turkey. And you can cook on it as well. Such a versatile cooking vessel. The stainless steel is impossibly shiny and gorgeous! I adore this pan and for the price it was a good investment, it will be good in my kitchen for many years to come. 5 stars!

For many years I had a cheap enameled roaster. What a difference! This is substantial, easier to clean, and lets face it, pretty. I absolutely love the lifting rack that hooks securely on the pan. I have a gas stove top for now, but eventually will get an induction, and it's great to know that this will work on either. The lid that doubles as a shallow pan is fantastic. Viking is pricey, but oh so worth it.

It is expensive, but it should last a long time. Its multi-use as a roasting pan, dutch oven, frying pan justifies its cost.

This Viking 3-ply Stainless Steel Roaster arrived a few days ago. Looks beautiful and can hold the amount of food or roasts or ham or turkey that would be right for my household and guests. I cannot wait to use this roaster this Easter weekend. It's a little pricey but so worth every dollar that I paid for it. My only regret is that I wish I had found this quality covered roaster years ago. I have owned 3-ply stainless cookware for over 35 years. 3-ply is simply the best in stainless cookware. I find them easy to maintain as long as they are not abused. I always start my pots, frying pans on a medium heat, doing so should prevent them from making the flat bottom a little round. Once they are hot, you can turn the heat up to your desired cooking temperature. Because its stainless, you will never have to worry about things ending up in your food as you do with so many of those "non-stick" cookware pots & pans.

I will start by saying this pan does seem to be outstanding. Its solid, versatile and looks great. It does seem to be of heirloom quality. I docked it a star because I prefer to buy US. I did a search for roasting pans made in USA. I double checked the preferences and made in USA was checked. This item is not made in US but in China. I don't have anything against items from China perse but I do try to buy US to support US workers. I also usually pay more to get those products. This pan cost more then twice most other roasting pans which also seemed to fit my search parameters. There is no where in the listing where it states it was made in China, which I guess should have been a flag. While I do think the pan is of good quality, I do not necessarily believe it to be any better then other high end manufacturer's pans. So at this price point, the deceptive practice of claiming their pans are made in the USA, and using "Made in the USA" in the search settings I docked a star. I would normally dock 2 or 3 stars for false advertising but the pan does seem to be very good. If it starts to rust or have other faults I will update my listing. I always update if a problem arises.

When I was growing up, I remember my mom wistfully pining after Viking pans she saw on professional cooking shows. I went in search of a new roasting pan for Thanksgiving this year, and knew that I wanted to never have to buy another roasting pan again. I knew that I wanted a rack and a lid, and that it had to be built to last. Enter the Viking 3-Ply Stainless Steel Oval Roaster with Metal Induction Lid and Rack, 8.5 Quart. I am so pleased with this purchase! It is heavy duty, and certainly built to last. It's multi-functional. And it's so pretty! I will say that it is smaller in person than I was expecting, but I went over the reviews and Q & A's carefully, which said it can take a 16lbs bird. I'm very excited to find out!

Wife loves it, and I got out of the doghoouse. Awesome qualiity andaapppearance. Easy to clean and extremly durablle.

This is a very nice roasting pan. The pan is thick and sturdy and the top can also be used as a pan. The pan comes with a wire rack which is also very sturdy. This is a large pan and was big enough for a 14 lb. turkey. I wish I has invested in this pan sooner.

Though I was buying a quality item from amazon, but the item came with a dint , approx 5 mil. Very disappointed, will try to get an exchange from them, will update and see what happens. Low quality control, don't know how this got pass quality control, or is amazon selling seconds?

The headline says it all. After several uses, it still looks like new. Bartender's Friend really helps clean stubborn spots with no damage to the mirror-like surfaces. Pot roasts turned out really great. We are now having them quite often ;-)

The roaster is a quality well made piece. looks great too. Turkey (and gravy) turned out great. It is expensive, but worth it.
