This is a legit thermometer. I own a Braun in-ear thermometer, but I can’t turn the beep off. With the new baby coming, I was looking for one that can turn the sound off. And I found this one. The package come with a storage bag, user manual, screws and a small screw driver for the battery lid. No batteries included, so you will need to get two AAA batteries for it. It comes with body and surface temperature measurements mode, which will be a plus for cooking. And the measurements are pretty accurate for the several situations I tested. Over all a good product. If there is anything I would improve is that I wish the storage bag could be slightly bigger.

I bought this in light of the COVID pandemic to stay as hygienic as possible. I never felt comfortable sticking something under my tongue even if it's been washed, just the germaphobe in me... This device is SO easy to use and it's great that it comes with a bag to store it. The colored screens are great for fast readings. It takes 2 AAA batteries and has a mini screwdriver and screws to secure the batteries in. It's quick to turn on and has an extensive memory capacity in case you need to take note of what temperature you took last. I'm overall very pleased with this purchase!

Turns out this is trash.

I thought the color coordinated temperature reading would be a silly feature but being able to tell where the temperature at a glance is a very wonderful feature. Out of the box is was withing .1 degree of a traditional oral thermometer and it was simple to make the adjustment on the new digital model. The ability to read temperatures of surfaces other than your body is an added bonus! You won't find an easier to use model anywhere.

So my employer temperature checks my entrance with a device similar to this and I figured I needed one for home as well. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. You literally insert the batteries and begin using it. The unit is pre-programmed to display a green background for a safe temperature, a yellow background for an above normal temperature and a red background for high temperature. These limits can be changed by the user. In addition, I like the memory function which stores temperature readings for a record of when they were taken. Parents may also like the mute feature to silence the beep for those times when you may for instance be taking the temp of a sleeping child. I love my non-invasive thermometer for a quick reading for those entering my home to help keep it safe from those who may be infected with the virus.

I know a thermometer should be self explanatory but I would have liked a little direction on some of the features. It was confusing because I am sure it was translated from Chinese; other wise it is fine. One other thing is the batteries keep falling out.

I bought this so I can keep an eye on my son's temperature. He is on the autism spectrum and has a lot of sensory problems. Using an ear thermometer or holding one in his mouth is out of the question. This is a much better option. I don't even need to touch him to use it. I can also use it in the kitchen since it will check the surface temperature of my cooking.
