It works just as advertised.
I bought this to use in my motorhome and hoping I can use it without having to run the generator just to boil water. Tested it out in the house first and it's boiling in about 5 minutes which is just as good as a full size kettle. Folds down neatly just as advertised. It appears durable and well made only time will tell. I highly recommend this product.

Best Item In The World
This is a great product that works so well. It folds down and fits in a check-in luggage. Fairly lightweight. Love that it is dual voltage for traveling outside the US - with proper adaptors of course. Heats water so fast, it is amazing! Took this to Middle East with me where water is an issue. I only boiled bottled water, but it was so useful. I used it everywhere I went for a month, folding and unfolding everywhere I traveled, and it held up beautifully. A little hard to fold up at first, but it gets easier over time. Silicon has no smell or impact to taste. It does get REALLY hot, burning hot that is, so be careful. But love that it does that personally. So many travelers with me were interested in buying this pot, so hopefully makes orders for you. Wish the handle folded down for better packing, but it is ok as it is.

Full Boil in < 4 mins
Tested it out and max water level comes to full boil in 4 mins using cold tap water (and tap water during the winter where I'm from is pretty cold). It's small and fairly lightweight, so it'll be good for traveling with. Only issues are that it can be a bit difficult to collapse and you'll need to manually change voltage using a screwdriver at the bottom of the kettle. This means that if you are traveling to different countries with different voltages during the same trip, you'll have to find a screwdriver somewhere along the way, because the knob does not protrude, so you can't use a coin to turn it.

Impressive!
I bought a more expensive collapsible water kettle but actually like this one better.PROS: Handle is very sturdy and does not lift off or fold away, so it feels safe to pour. Lid flips up mechanically rather than being removable, which also lends safety, as it never falls out. Turns itself off if not enough water in kettle. Water really BOILS, doesn't just heat up, so you could make oatmeal, ramen, etc. Lightweight enough to put in your carry-on. Inexpensive enough to leave behind in hotel if you want to. Cute as the dickens.CONS: Very short cord (29 inches!) that does not detach. In many cases, you'll need to either unplug this to pour your hot water or have an extension cord with you. It may be fine if you have an outlet near the sink that's low on the wall... but still, a cord less than three feet long? Odd. Because the cord does not detach and the handle does not fold away, the Gourmia is not a tidy package to carry in your luggage. At just over a pound, you'll make it work though, right?Bear in mind, the voltage setting can be adjusted, but you will still need a plug adapter if using it in a country whose outlets are different from those in the U.S.P.S. The Gourmia GK320 heats .6L water, not .5L, as some product listings state.

Amazing travel teakettle!
I love this little travel teapot!! I am a flight attendant and I travel for a living, gone 4-5 days a week. Eating healthy on the road is so important to me as is having a good cup of tea or broth made with genuinely hot, boiling water. Increasingly even high end hotels are switching to 1 cup machines or the Keurig for coffee makers and they just don't heat the water enough and the water supply containers are not clean and the water or coffee/tea/etc does not taste good. Enter the tiny tea kettle from Gourmia!! I use it several times a day to heat water for tea, soups, instant oatmeal and have even taken it to a cabin adventure in the mountains. I love that it heats the water and then senses when its not hot and heats it again. I love that once it collapses down, it easily fits into my suitcase taking about as much space as a t-shirt. I love it so much that I gifted it to my best friend, also a flight attendant. And folks, we flight crew are hard on things, dragging our stuff around and using different outlets in different cities, states and countries. This little wonder of a tea kettle has been used so much and it still keeps on working great. I love, love, love it. One of the best purchases I have made in a long time. Plus, its so cute and pretty!!
