Taste fishy, but my son loves them
My 4 year old son has been taking these for several months now, and it helps his digestive system the most (bowels). They have wonderful ingredients, not found in other kids vitamins. They are little small ball soft gels, that can be chewed or swallowed. I assume most kids would be picky and not like these if they are used to sugary chewables. Health wise, they can't compare to anything else. If you can get your kids to swallow them whole, or don't have a picky kid, these are well worth the money. I love Garden of Life. I have been purchasing products from there since 2005 when I heard Jordan Rubin's story.

It doesn't match the description - not chewable
I usually don't leave a 1 star review, I don't know if I have before. I normally am a stickler for looking at reviews, but was recommended this by someone else. What I didn't realize is that they aren't really chewable. At least for my family. They come in the exact same gel pill encasing that my adult fish oil supplements come in that are meant to be swallowed (but smaller). My dogs don't even eat those, when I put fish oil in their food and then the gel caplets. My dog eats everything, but doesn't want to eat those. Why would my kids want to?Both girls eagerly popped them in their mouth, as their multi vitamins taste good. Then spit them out all over their food, which then had to be remade.I was trying to get them to learn how to eat it with pudding or jello. But..... then I decided to just get a different supplement. haha. They are young. I put one star because I don't think the description matches the product. You can't just call something chewable because it's literally able to be chewed. I also couldn't eat this.I'm sure it's got some valuable ingredients and would be good to swallow. But, unfortunately, IMO, they aren't chewable.**************Also, I do understand that taste is subjective. But, for my little family, this was akin to drinking spoiled milk - gag reflexes activated.

My kids love these!
My kids can't seem to get enough of these! They ask for them everyday. They do not have an aversion to fishy-tasting products. There is a slight fish taste, but generally tastes like a berry-lime, just like the box says. My 3-year-old daughter gets dry patches of skin on her face and cracked lips, especially during the winter. I give her more than the minimum amount required of 250mg per day. I usually give her about 500mg. My son is 7 years old and can have more, up to 1000mg, but I usually give him about 500mg as well. He doesn't have dry skin issues.

Definitely not what you'd expect, but it gets the job done
My 4 year old son has been taking these (1 per day) for about a year now. He calls them "pop-in balls".He's never complained about the taste and actually reminds me when I've forgotten to give them to him. I tried one myself when we first got them, and they do have a lime flavor, and I don't think they are fishy, but are not what you would expect from a "chewable". The exterior is a tough gelatin like substance that is chewable in the sense that you're going to need to chew on it for a while before it breaks down. The exterior doesn't really break easily either so when they do, they tend to explode. It definitely is kind of weird, but my kid likes them and the ingredients appear to be of good quality.I'd suggest you give them a try, if your kid will eat them great. If not an adult can swallow them w/ fluid and polish off the bottle...

Fishy Taste That Not All Kids Can Tolerate
I use a lot of Garden of Life brand supplements and so when I started looking for a DHA supplement for my kids (6 and 2 years old), these were my first choice.CONs: very fishy taste that not all kids can tolerateWhen we first opened the Garden of Life Oceans pills my daughter (then probably 4) excitedly bit into one and immediately spit it out and said it tasted horrible. She can be a bit dramatic about things and is really picky when it comes to food so I decided to try one to see what I thought. They have a very distinctly “fishy” taste and, personally, I would not have considered those “chewable” at all. But I had a whole bottle of them so I decided to teach her to swallow them. That worked fine and she liked doing it so I continued buying them. My daughter did complain of “fish burps” after she would swallow them, but this was pretty easily avoided by making sure she ate something else with a strong flavor after taking the pills. When my much less picky son became old enough to chew vitamins I let him try them, fishy taste and all, and he loved them! So clearly not all kids will find these unappealing to chew. One day the Norwegian Gold pills (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008E2TAQQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1) were on sale when the Garden of Life ones were more expensive than normal, so I picked up a bottle of those. Comparatively, they taste much better than the Garden of Life Oceans Kids. My daughter insists I buy the Norwegian Gold pills now, although I have more reservations about the ingredients and nutritional value of those pills than I do the Garden of Life ones.PROs: I trust the brand and these seem to be really high in fish oilI have to say that the fact that these look, smell, and taste like pure fish oil is really reassuring to me. I read things these days about how so many supplements don’t include the ingredients and nutritional support that they claim to and I have a lot of concerns about that with Norwegian Gold fish oil pills. I don’t worry about that with these. Based on my very unscientific observations, they seem to be what they claim to be.For now we have switched to the other brand, but I still feel like these are probably better quality and, if my kids liked them more, I would have kept buying them.

ADHD 7 year old
We got these vitamins after receiving a recommendation from another ADHD mom. Our 7 year old has been taking them for 4 months. His teachers have reported a drastic change in his focus and retention. When his busy mom forgets, he will bring it to me. He says he can feel a difference from when he takes it and doesn't. He says he feels like he has control of himself, and can "think better". It doesn't really have a flavor. It smells like fruit, but it tastes similar to olive oil.
