I like this nightstand- it seems stable enough. I am not going to put anything heavy on it, but it can handle a lamp, phone, laptop, and book.Putting this thing together was a STRUGGLE. I am good at repairing things and building shelves. When I ordered this, I expected all the parts to be there and holes drilled- I would essentially just be screwing parts together. However, I ended up using a power drill to drill guides and drill the screws into the wood. I hope this thing lasts because I will never buy one of these again- they require a lot more assembly than "some assembly required!"

This isn't a terrible piece of furniture if you're looking for something that will only see light use and is mostly decorative. It's a pretty design, unfortunately I wouldn't buy it again for the following reasons:1. The surface material itself is fragile and will scratch/dent easily. Mine came with several minor chips out of the edges and it appears the manufacturer just put the plastic edge trim over it. They're all small enough to cover with a sharpie and you'd never notice, but it's still poor attention to detail.2. It's not very sturdy. It does gain a little rigidity once it's all assembled, but it's not very confidence inspiring. If you bump into it or shift it around it doesn't move as a solid piece. You can feel the shifts between the pieces themselves. Even with everything fully tightened. I wouldn't trust this with much more than a lamp and some small items (like glasses or a phone charger) in the drawer.3. The metal components are sub par! The cam lock connectors in particular are made of such a soft metal that in the process of assembling it they stripped the heads trying to screw it together WITH A HAND SCREWDRIVER!! Having a metal piece so soft that it warps out of place when you try to fasten it is such a terrible idea, it would probably have cost them no more than $0.02 more per set to have better metal components. They must know this, as they include spare pieces which I ended up having to use. I had to re-attach the front of the drawer several times before it finally decided to stay in place. (I'm considering just gluing them shut with Locktite at this point) you have to operate the drawer with two fingers and be dainty about it. Opening the drawer like you would open ANY other regular dresser door will result in the entire front of the drawer coming off!I would return this, but it's not worth the effort and frustration to disassemble and repackage everything. I'll probably sell in on FB marketplace or craigslist at a loss to upgrade to a night stand that don't fall apart from regular use.I would not purchase this again and do not recommend it.

Further update: The seller reached out again, offering me a partial refund if I changed my updated score to 4 or higher. I felt that given the poor (1*) quality the of first, but the decent (3.5-4*) quality of the replacement, an averaged 3* was fair. However, I am returning the review to 1* in light of their shameless review manipulation.Update: The seller reached out to me, and offered me a replacement free of charge. The replacement has much better cams, and all of the parts fit much better together. I would still recommend Ikea's furniture over this, but if this was the original version I received, I would have been much happier.I ordered this because I didn't feel like paying for or waiting for shipping with Ikea, but in hindsight, that was a mistake. While this arrived quicker, it didn't fit together as nicely, with several gaps between pieces, and a lot of wobble in its base. Additional, the cams are weak, and often had the long screws popping out, leaving the whole thing lopsided on the top, without a lot of weight on the top. Overall, I cannot recommend this over Ikea's similar nightstands.

Great little nightstand that does its purpose. The instructions were absolutely fantastic. Easiest thing to build and once you're done you'll be satisfied with the work.I'm using it to put my console and cable box under the TV for when I finish mounting the TV up. I also purchased a sphere light to put in side the little cubby hole. Although I'm pretty sure my cat or dog will claim the spot and try to sleep in it.So far really happy with this purchase.

I ordered this very nice looking nightstand for my room as I am currently renovating it. While it felt sturdy in the box, the actual assembling of the product was pain staking. You need power tools, and the hardware used STRIPPED OUT if there was even more than one turn of the drill. Cheap wood. After I built it the night stand shook like a sky scraper in an earthquake. Worst of all, after building the cabinet, the drawer wouldn't go on the rails. I tried everything. The wood even began chipping after I put it together. Horrible Assembly, Quality, and Customer Experience. I was so frustrated I just threw it out with the trash.

Sleek and simple nightstand. Assembly did take some work, as there are a lot of screws. Downsides are I don't find it very sturdy, and the quality of the drawer is disappointing, but that is related to it not being sturdy. However, don't let that distract you too much from buying this! I just needed a simple nightstand next to my bed to hold some electronics and have a place to put my phone while charging. Thus, it serves all purposes I needed it for and it does look simple and modern.

Didn't take too terribly long to build. While I was building it, I thought it was going to be a bit wobbly, but it comes with these 4 pieces you screw into the back of it and that really helps hold it all together. Great buy for $50ish bucks. I wanted something to sit next to my (bigger) amp (not shown) that housed my guitar effects pedals, cables, strings, etc; and my little practice amp (shown). It's a great way for me to organize my guitar stuff so I don't have pedals and cables just laying on the floor. Much cleaner look now.
