BUILT Neoprene Kindle Fire Slim Sleeve Case, Black

Soft and fuzzy inside, thin layer of neoprene outside, lightweight and not a whole lot bigger than the device it's protecting ... unless you're going into a war zone, this is just the right amount of protection. Because it's stretchy, it grips the device inside, holding it in firmly, not so firmly that it's difficult to get out, but firmly enough that you can toss it across the room into your luggage, and expect it to stay put. I had one for my 3rd generation Kindle, for two years, before I gave it to a relative and bought a new Kindle. It's tough, it lasts, and does it's job. I've ordered one for my new Kindle, and one for my tablet which is the same size as the Kindle Fire.

Tighter than I thought it would be.

This BUILT sleeve holds my Kindle Fire perfectly. It is great protection for casual carrying around. It is super soft on the inside - and the outside , while soft, has just enough friction for a secure hand hold. It won't give you much (if any) protection from drops, crushes, or gouges, but in a loosely packed bag or while carrying around the house or in the car this is perfect. The Kindle Fire fits snugly inside and stays in - but it also pulls out easily when you want it. Overall I love it and would order it again without hesitation.UPDATE: Three months later, still perfect! This case has help up without any trouble. Kindle Fire is still held snugly in place, seams and linings are still good-as-new.UPDATE: One year later, still perfect! The case STILL holds the Kindle without slipping, there are no snags or tears, lining still soft, Kindle still protected.UPDATE: Two years later, still perfect!UPDATE: Three years later, still perfect! The Kindle is still in pristine condition - it is always in the sleeve when not in use. For three years I've been carrying it everywhere in computer bags, loose in cars and airplanes, etc. Obviously, I'm very pleased with it.

This sleeve is just way too tight. It takes a lot of push and force and effort to be able to squeeze the Kindle FIRE in and out of this sleeve. It is simply not practical for frequent use, to my liking. I was looking for a sleeve such that I can relatively easily take the FIRE out and put it back - as I plan and want to use the device to read whenever I have some spare time, such as when waiting. This sleeve is just too tight, takes a lot of effort. I ordered another kind of cover instead.Also, because there is no zipper or another closing mechanism, debris etc inevitably will get in when carried around in a bag or purse, and can damage the FIRE.I wish the sleeve were (1) a bit roomier and (2) with a zipper or some other kind of closing mechanism for protection.Interestingly, the manufacturer's description of the product on Amazon's website states explicitly that this sleeve is for Kindle FIRE. But when you get the product you will see that nowhere does it mention Kindle FIRE. I doubt BUILT created this sleeve specifically for FIRE and knowing the FIRE specs. They probably made these already before Amazon unveiled the FIRE and the FIRE's dimension specs, that would be my guess.

I was looking for a cover for my new Kindle Fire and wasn't really happy with the selections out there. I trusted the quality of the Gorilla glass but I still wanted something simple for basic protections. Most of the other selections out there really added too much bulk to the Kindle that it defeated it's 7-inch size advantage. This sleeve looked simple enough and it was totally worth the price!The material is very soft and smooth inside, creating a very nice protective surface for the Kindle. The inside of the Black sleeve is blue color. It also helps to clean off most of your fingerprints just by putting in and taking out the device. It doesn't add much bulk to the device and it's really nice to hold. Lastly, there's no worry of the device coming out even if you hold it up-side-down (unless you shake it vigorously of course). I'm very satisfied with the product.

If you are looking for a simple and thin case to protect your Kindle Fire look no further. This case is snug and has a great fleece type lining inside that is great to wipe away the smudges as you put in and take out the kindle fire. One thing to note is that it is rather big in length. You will notice that there is some slack left on the bottom and at the top when the Fire is in the case. It isn't much, and really doesn't cause any kind of an issue, but just something worth noting. Since the case is snug the kindle fire will not fall out! even when held upside down! Overall, a great protective case if you don't need one with all the stands and bulk involved. P.S. I got the black with the blue fleece interior - looks amazing!

I needed a cover for our Kindle Fire and after checking out many options on Amazon, I decided upon the Built neoprene case. Could not have made a better choice. It's very functional as well as good looking. Great accessibility...the case holds the Kindle snugly and yet it is also quick easy to remove and the Kindle does not slip out of the case if held upside down by mistake. As another review mentioned, another great side effect of the padding inside is that it cleans the screen as you remove it. Some people may prefer a hard case for protection, but I have found the thickness of the neoprene to be more than adequate for that purpose. Priced very reasonably...I highly recommend this product.

This is the only case I have purchased for my kindle so I cant compare it to any other cover. I am very pleased with this sleeve, I wanted one without a zipper on it to minimizes metal contact to my screen. Its been two weeks and the sleeve is still holding strong and I have dropped my Kindle Fire at least 6 feet to hard wood floor and it protected both the screen and device. If you hold the sleeve upside down it is tight enough to not let the kindle fall out of it.Its a little pricey for the sleeve but it was def worth the money I spent.

fit for purpose thank you A great many article's that say they are, are not fit for purpose and a waste of money this is not. I take my kindle fire everywhere with me and this keeps it safe and scratch free, does not take up any space and after ten weeks of use looks and performs the same as the first day of use.

good protection for your tablet.Well padded but it would of been better if there was a fastener on the top to stop the tablet falling out accidentally.All it needed was a bit of velcro or a popper.That said, i would buy again as it's only cheap and gives the tablet protection which is what it's supposed to do.

Nothing fantastic but does exactly what it's supposed to. At the RRP of £19.99 forget it, at the current price of £9.99 it's overpriced. I got mine on Black Friday at £4.99 which seemed to be the best protection for my Fire at a price that approached reasonable.

Nice fit & reasonable protection for the price/weight. Will stop scratches and gentle pressure from keys etc. but cover is flexible so would not stop punctures if under heavy pressure.

A soft protective case which does its job. The case won't protect from someone sitting on your Kindle but for protection from scratches it's ideal. A very snug fit ensures the Kindle stays in the case but is still easy to get in and out (as road tested by my 6 year old son).
