Alienware Steam Machine ASM100-4980BLK Desktop Console (Intel Core i5, 8 GB RAM, 1 TB HDD) NVIDIA GeForce GTX GPU

Word of warning, I give this a five star AFTER I replaced the hard drive it came with and put in windows 10. The steam OS it is shipped with is absolutely horrendous. That aside, this thing is about the size of a regular Wii (though a bit thicker). It has NO headphone jack, so if you absolutely need one, you're going to have to do it through your monitor or tv that you connect to, because this has no port. I still give it a five star, because this little machine has been able to power me through Dark souls 3 on high graphics settings. Most, if not all, of the games that I play have been able to run without a hitch, and I can't help but recommend this machine to anybody looking for an affordable gaming rig. If you decide to swap the OS like I did, be warned that you'll also need to install the Alien FX control center if you want to be able to modify the lights on the device. All in all, this is a solid gaming PC and it was totally worth the 475 I paid for it.

If you are going to buy a steam machine then buy the Alienware Alpha, not the Alienware steam machine. That may seem contradictory, but the steam machine version comes with steam OS, not windows, which means that the majority of games on steam are unavailable to you. If you get the Alienware Alpha then it comes with Windows 8-10 which means that it also doubles as a legitimate computer. I changed the OS to windows 10 after buying this version by using a flash drive with the booting software, but I implore you to get the Alienware Alpha instead so you don't have to go through the hassle.

We were disappointed by how few games were supported on Steam OS that we already had purchased, so we put Windows 10 on a USB bootable SSD drive to have full compatibility with Steam. We rarely use the included controller, but the console has ran everything we've thrown at it and just crushes them. We only have the i5 processor with 8GB of RAM as well, no need for the i7 it seems.

So far it seems to work but I wish it came with more instructions you do need a keyboard and mouse to even set it up

So i bought knowing about the battery problem but i thought it would be good for at least 2 years but 6 months and after taking it apart completly to disconect the battery it got better but only short term and a mobile machine should not need to be taken apart none stop power drain seems to stoped working

Had the machine for only an hour before I finished the update and reset the machine only to be given a steam os has failed message, which is apparently a common but fatal problem. Immediately asked for a refund and shipped out the machine.

Beautiful. Works perfectly and makes a great starter gaming computer.

This worst console I ever seen I bought one with out window then game that I want Play steam os does not support the game I want to play unless window in it
