KitchenAid Classic Series 4.5 Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer K45SS, Onyx Black

I really like this mixer. It looks so nice on my countertop, especially in the black color, and it feels very strong and well-made. I’ve used it for baking and it makes mixing so much easier and faster. The size is perfect for home use, not too big but still holds enough. I’m happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend it.

The price matches the quality of this stand mixer, and once you have one you'll finally understand why they're so expensive compared to other brands (it's the attachments, really.) It's very easy to clean by hand. It has several speed settings and can mix basically anything whether it's pie filling, cake mix, biscuit mix, brownies, chicken dip, etc. I haven't used any of the attachments like the pasta maker etc. but I'm sure they work well. I've had experience using one for a few years before this so it feels intuitive to me, but there isn't a lot to learn. There's a control to lift the mixer head and one to put it back into position. Each of the included mixer attachments (dough hook, wisk, etc.) attaches simply by just locking on to the stand and comes off the same way. After having one, I can't ever go back to using a hand mixer or mixing things by actual hand - no way. It even makes the prep times listed on recipes look slow.

Everything works as should and my mom loves it

Over the years I have purchased around 8 kitchen aide for my mom, sister, daughters and now grandaughters. I purchased my mixer 35 years ago and it is still working fine. I highly recommend buying the bowl scraping mixing blade. It makes a big difference for mixing cakes. Every mixer I have given to family members is still working fine.

How are they still making this thing SO DANG GOOD!?!? I am a normal person, and this thing I bought at its reasonable price, and it may just outlast me. I’ll have to put this thing in my will to my grandchildren, it will not stop!

For health reasons, I began making my own bread and finally decided I needed a stand mixer. After reading all the reviews on the various makes and models available I went with the Kitchenaid Classic with the 4.5 quart bowl. I figured the smaller size bowl would be adequate for my needs. The mixer is heavy (22 lbs) and rather expensive ($330), but I am pleased with the quality of this product and ease of use. The main, and so far only, problem is with the bowl. The lack of a handle proved to be more of a problem than I had anticipated but the real problem is the tendency for this bowl to become firmly attached to the base after mixing dough at or above medium speeds. A couple of the reviews I had read described this problem but I figured 'How bad can it be'. Unfortunately I found out. Prolonged (3 or 4 minutes) at medium speed (#3) mixing bread dough with a paddle or dough hook hammers the base of the bowl so hard against the metal in the stand mixer base that it is exceedingly difficult to remove the bowl. It is almost as if the two pieces of metal became welded or super-glued together. Without a handle, it is very difficult to firmly grasp the bowl to twist it loose from the base. Using a couple of rubber jar-opener grippers on the sides of the bowl is the only way I can get enough torque to twist the bowl. free from the base. Putting a bit of lubricant on the areas where the bowls metal and stand base metal makes contact helps some but I shouldn't have to do this considering the price paid for this mixer. It may be that a larger bowl (possibly a glass bowl) with a handle will not have this problem. This bowl-removal-problem is the reasons down-graded the number of stars given this product. It is easy to use, very powerful, does a great job mixing and the weight is actually a benefit since it stabilizes the mixer during use. Now if I can just get the bowl unstuck from the mixer base so I can get the dough out and continue baking my bread . . . .

Although in the question section says it's support 220V it's not. Now I'm stuck with this unit

I reveived the ıtrm almost after 1 month byt it was did not working. Whenever start to work all electricity system was shutring down. Even though seller said me I am allowed do send product to them with any of courier they insist on the not pay my courier cost which is Aed 2537. So I paid that amount and I don t have any product currently. So recommend you do not buy anthing from that seller and amazon and Kitchenaid.

Cuando vi este producto - tania anos con ganas de comprarlo - en un precio muy acesible decidi coprarlo. Ya lo he usada varias veces y funciona perfecto. Nada que ver con batidora de pedestal mas economico. Lo hago pan 2 o 3 veces por semana y con esta maquina todo es mas facil. No es la version de lujo pero hace todo lo que tiene que ser! Estoy muy, muy contenta, no solo por el producto sino el precio y el excelente servicio que brinda Amazon!
