Ocean Digital Portable Internet Wi-Fi/DAB/DAB+/FM Radio with Bluetooth Speaker, Speaker, Rechargeable Battery Compact Radio for Kitchen Garden (WR26)

For the price this radio is right up there with the best. The charge last a long time. Once the Wi-Fi is connected ease of navigation is great. The placement of the buttons is ergonomic especially at night say in the dark when you need the radio on or off. The size makes it very portable too so lots of adaptability to different locations. Good volume control. To add Wi-Fi to this model is it’s main selling point. High end brands such as Ruark only start with Bluetooth in their entry models meaning another accessory such as the phone to listen to internet radio. They have filled an obvious gap in the market for a small portable radio that featured Wi-Fi.

OCEAN internet radio, is neat compact internet radio. seems sturdy enough, buttons are stable , clearly marked in white. And positive in use. Has hundreds and hundreds plus, of internet stations, plus FM radio, no DAB though. But for me is ok, as with the internet stations, I don`t need it. SOUND is clear, bright {but not shrill} quite involving and I found it to be very entertaining to listen to, even after a length of time. Also the re chargable battery, plus mains cable (thank you) is excellent. The radio has ample number( imo) of favourite stations facility to store. Blue tooth speaker, equaliser etc. The problem I had,(have) is with the tiny search screen, top left corner. It looks blue, on the photo, but doesn`t seem to have any colour at all. The letters and numbers are in black. Searching for a station is , for me, a chore . The letters are so tiny, and I have to get them under a certain light to be able to see. Even scrolling to select a favourite stored station is frustrating because of the little screen. Ok I have managed to search and store several stations now, to my favourites. But it is not something I look forward to. I do own a cheap, DAB radio, with a screen in almost the same position, but much clearer, slightly larger, easy to define and easy to select stations.But once having managed the search, store, and select stations This OCEAN internet radio, is a really enjoyable radio, and I take pleasure in listening to it.

Had this for a few days now and really enjoying it. It was simple to get connected to the wi fi. Easy to find stations, easy to add to favourites. Using it a lot. Still plays when charging. OK sound quality for size and price. A good buy.

30,000 internet radio stations so not short on choices & very reliable, rarely disconnects. FM radio works without the aerial extended where we live. There is now no DAB on this version of the radio but that doesn't really matter given the many other choices, also DAB signal is not that great where we live. Sound quality is what you'd expect from a small radio, but not bad, goes loud enough. The display is a bit small but functional when you get the hang of it. Overall very pleased, does what I wanted, very neat & doesn't take up a lot of room.

I bought this radio to replace a broken AM/FM portable which normally sits on a shelf in the kitchen. At first, I tried a DAB/FM radio on loan from a friend and, although it quickly found a large number of DAB and FM stations. I rejected it because I decided to spend more and go for a radio that also included WiFi reception so I ended up purchasing this Ocean digital radio - which proved to be a big mistake.With this radio, I managed to get a large number stations via the internet but, after searching unsuccessfully for both DAB and FM stations it informed me that neither DAB nor FM was available in my area, which is utterly ridiculous: I don’t live in the middle of the Sahara desert, but in a large English town which is well served with all forms of electronic communication. The antenna was fully extende during these searches.We own several small, cheap AM/FM radios which give good FM reception anywhere in the house. Also, the DAB/FM radio I tried out, which was about half the price of this Ocean one, picked up at least 30 or 40 DAB and FM stations almost immediately.

I live in an area with very dodgy DAB reception and I dislike most of what the BBC has to offer these days. I have a couple of Roberts radios and wanted a small radio for the bathroom or garden. This little radio fits the bill perfectly. The sound is surprisingly good. Very basic and about the size of a paperback. Battery seems to last ages. Love it!

Likes - Portability & Size, Quick wifi connection, easy to operateDislike - Small speaker hence low volume range, you have to press a button to see the battery level. Doesn't appear on home screen quite unlike the previous version (WR220-BP)Overall, a very good & recommendable product
