Flexd - Freestyle Adhesive Patches (30 Pcs) - Libre Adhesive Patch Covers for CGM - Tan

One of the better patches. Most of the time it stays on entire 14 days with the exception of it peeling up a little on the side.

I started out having good luck with my Libre 14-day sensor, but on my third sensor, there were issues. I was doing an oil change and noticed that my sensor was only half-on when I went to hop in the shower afterwards. Ugh. The sensor had only been on for a few days, and luckily, I had just refilled.That experience led me to look for something more. I'm not always going to have a spare sitting around. So I tried Skin Tac but couldn't quite get the application right, and ended up piercing my arm where there had been some Skin Tac. It stung. A lot. For days.I looked at all of the different Libre patches on Amazon and checked with people who use the Libre, and decided that there were two things I definitely wanted. I wanted something breathable with no adhesive to block the top of the sensor, because the hole on top of the Libre sensor is intentional (not to mention Abbott says not to cover it) and I wanted something that wouldn't look as gross as the clear ones seem to get after a couple of days.Flexd seemed to hit the marks, so I gave it a shot. Putting on the first patch wasn't awesome, because I didn't read the included instructions. It seemed awkward and difficult to center. On the second application, after reading the instructions, it was much easier. Take off the tabs in the center to "anchor" it after aligning the non-adhesive center with your sensor, then pull off the other tabs. Simple, when you read how to do it.I was able to get about 12 days out of the patch with my normal everyday routine. I noticed that it dried really quickly after taking a shower, and really appreciated that it never felt like I was going to pop the sensor off, like I often felt before using a patch over the sensor. On a similar tangent, having the Flexd patch has made a HUGMONGOUS difference in how often the sensor would get caught on my shirt when I'd take it off. That alone makes the patches worth getting. My sensor hardly gets caught on anything anymore.Anyway... by the 12th day, about half of the adhesive all around was dead, and the patch was starting to curl. So, you probably want to plan on replacing the patch every week, if you're going to be active. Although... I did an experiment to get a full 14 days out of these. If you put Skin Tac around the Libre sensor after you've applied it, getting 14 days out of these patches shouldn't be a problem at all. I don't know that I'd go out and buy Skin Tac just to make these last longer, but since I had a whole bottle lying around, I can confirm that it's a silver bullet when it comes to keeping a single Flexd patch going for the life of your Libre sensor -- and gives you some more leeway if you don't get the patch perfectly centered, because you won't need to change it until your sensor's done.So. Would I recommend these? ABSOLUTELY! I've already set up a subscription. Yeah, it's kind of a steep price for 30 big Band Aids, but when you figure that's about 7 - 8 months' worth if you're changing them out every 7 - 10 days -- and over a year's worth if you use my Skin Tac method, I'd pay that just once to not deal with the feeling of a sensor caught in the sleeve of my shirt that isn't being carefully taken off. Totally worth it.

Bought these to replace the awful black ones Levels includes with their Libre Subscription. The Flexd is easy to apply and most definitely stays in place with no curling of edges. Downside is they are challenging to remove, just slightly painful. I was afraid I was going to dislodge the meter. And if you shower they seem to absorb water and stay wet a long time. Good value for the money and like the skin tone.

Use with Freestyle Libre 2 sensor. Does a great job of protecting the sensor, taking the wear and tear so the sensor does not get knocked about. Will one patch last the entire 2 weeks, ever had a fabric bandage last 2 weeks? I sure haven't but in comparison these patches can make I have had some. But after 2 weeks of showers, moving, bumps scrapes, and etc, it gets beat up, usually after about week edge starts rolling as the adhesive starts wearing out. Makes it till about 1.5 weeks usually and it needs to get torn off and replaced. For the price much cheaper then the sensor weakening and falling off. $1.5 per patch vs $30-40+ sensor its a good insurance bet. Leftover adhesive with bit of rubbing comes off easy.My recommendations:1 - Before applying Sensor and patch give the part of arm to wear it all a good scrub, I usually use a facial scrub with salicylic acid, great for getting dead skin off and insure good adhesion.2 - Wait for arm to dry well after scrubbing I usually wait 2-3 hours after shower to be sure.3 - Its a bandage effectively don't be scrubbing it dry after shower PAT it dry. Following those rules my sensors stay on very well requiring a good tug to get off, while before without patch I was lucky to go a week without sensor falling off.4 - If is starts to fall off, tear it off, and replace they are cheap insurance. If they are not lasting most of a week your doing something wrong. Wash arm better, keep area dry, sweaty arm get arm band to help. Good luck.

EXCELLENT PRODUCT! EASE OF USE, DURABILITY AND VALUE FOR THE MONEY! UPDATE: 12/16/2020! Only slight peel away on one corner and very minimal edge peeling around the rest...after 14 days! Showered every day! Slowly peeled right off for removal, (going slow on tender old lady underarm flab), NO PAIN, and very very little left over residue. (The previous brand took 1/2 a bottle of rubbing alcohol and scrubbing with a rough washcloth to get it all off, leaving me raw and in pain. UPDATE: 12/14/2020: HAS NOT COME OFF! 12 days on now, slight peeling along edges, but other than that, EXCELLENT adhesion. Will advise about removal difficulty/ease in 2 days. PREVIOUS REVIEW: Excellent so far. The other brand I use cost 8 bucks more & gave me 5 less. This has stayed on 8 days through hot showers daily and has hardly peeled up at all. The other brand I used would be half off by now. This one has a circle with no adhesive in the center to not stick to the sensor (the other is completely covered in adhesive). I have not removed the 1st one yet. But I would think that not having adhesive on the sensor would help keep it in place. I usually have to change the grip every 7 days with the old brand & trying to not rip out my 2 week sensor was a challenge. Ill update after I remove the first one.

Easy to put on and stick even after a shower

The product works well overall but I have a tremendously difficult time removing the backing on the sides. The initial backing around the sensor removes well but the stuff on the sides is very difficult. I am a 57 year old male in good shape so it is not a matter of strength. Also when wearing it in the shower it remains wet and it may be better to wear the same type of sticker that it out of a transparent or tinted plastic instead of cloth. Overall I'm happy with the product.
