KPCB Sewing Machine for Beginners

Terrible machine!!! Do not buy this unless you want to be extremely annoyed. First of all, the top area for the thread is made so you can only use certain size threads when you sew. Most sewing machines have it on top but this machine has the stick in the back of the machine and it cant fit any of the threads I need. Only the ones that came with the machine. The bobbin is extremely hard to get out and it doesnt even fill the bobbin as smooth and quickly as most machines will. When sewing it gets jammed VERY easily. The foot pedal is extremely small. This overall it is just a terrible machine. Dont buy.

This little red sewing machine is absolutely adorable! I realize it is not a full size solution to do heavy sewing work. I bought this as a little starter machine for my teenage daughter… She absolutely loves it! 💗💚💙This sewing machine has a matte-finish & is very resistant to dirt and is very durable!!! My daughter sewed some small cotton curtains on the machine and the machine did a great job. She has also made several face masks for our family and it worked perfectly. It has several different stitches and it looks great! This cute machine was a fabulous price compared to the other full-size machines that run hundreds of dollars!!! A very good deal for the money. Easy to store as well. Overall, Fabulous & cute machine!!! Perfect starter machine!♥️♥️♥️

Fantastic sewing machine! I bought one last year that is a portable small machine because I didn’t know if I wanted to get back into sewing again. When the pandemic went down I needed a full size machine that had a back stitch and could rewind a bobbin easily. I was trying to be cheap and bought one off of eBay that ended up defective. So I bought another off of amazon that also was defective. Finally got this one and it was perfect. The foot has no issue pushing the cloth no matter the size. The bottom bobbin is very simple to reload and the directions are clear on it. The top bobbin is super fascinating on how it’s restringed. Simple but elegant. I love how it has a cool compartment to rewind the bobbins. The tension knob is accurate and does change unlike my defective machines. The stitch dial is so cool and glad it includes the button attachment. I no longer have skipped stitches and it includes everything needed for a beginner. It even has a helpful booklet on learning to sew.

I bought the sewing machine for my niece as a beginner. the sewing machine works perfectly if you’re sewing on paper but the minute you try to thread the machine it’s Jams terribly. I’m returning it and I had to buy another machine. If I could give it zero stars I would.

Hi Fellow Shoppers,I was ambitious when I unpacked and set up this sewing machine. I must admit that I'm a beginner. Do not be fooled - this product is not for the faint of heart! I attempted to use this product for an hour with guidance from a friend who is highly experienced with sewing machines. I do not want to crush anyone's dreams of becoming a seamstress. Be ware ! This may not be the product for you.1. The thread breaks because of a tension issue. -After multiple attempts at troubleshooting the issue, I finally gave up.2. The foot petal is small. If you have small feet, be happy and stomp your feet on that petal.....but hopefully you won't run into problem 3.3. The light on the unit dims before it starts to jam and stop working.4. The threading instructions are very clear! This is great! Until you realize that the thread can get jammed on the wheel of threading spot #1.I would spare myself and a loved one the hassle of this unit. If you are thinking of gifting this to someone - think carefully about what you are gifting them. I didn't feel very happy that I gifted it to myself.My ambition continued even after my help gave up on the machine and offered to bring me her sewing machine the next day. I pressed on for another hour....simply trying to get the machine to thread a line. Alas, it worked for thirty seconds!!!...then...I continued to experience the issues listed above.Make a wise choice. Don't give up on sewing. Happy shopping!

it jams very easily and keeps breaking the thread, definitely not beginner friendly because you can be doing everything correctly and this machine just doesn't function properly. This may be ok if you are using it to fix something small from time to time. If you are planning to make something from scratch, forget about it and get something else. Overall I will not recommend.

Let me start by saying that this is definitely a machine for beginners. The functions are basic and it could easily be used by a child if desired, which is nice. However, the thread tension doesn't seem to change when changed, and I wish it would've been labeled so you could tell what level you're at. Instead you just kinda have to feel around.Another thing is the lightweight feature. In theory, this is really nice! I think the lightweight-ness makes it less durable. Over time, the thread hook (directly above the needle) somehow bent out of place so now the needle comes unthreaded, often while in use.

I wanted a small sewing machine for mending and crafts. I guess the saying is true you get what you pay for. I should have went with a name brand and paid more. It doesn't feed the fabric through. It will not sew cotton fabric the thread gets all knotted up underneath. The thread breaks a lot. The needle broke too and this was on thin material . I just really wanted a sewing machine I can use to sew on. This doesn't sew at all. It makes the most awful loud noise while using it. PLEASE DO NOT BUY! You will get stuck with a broken machine! You can't get a hold of the company to return either. I waited to long and can no longer return to Amazon.
