Good gate opener for what I needed, it easily opens a 9 ft dual metal gate. Setup and installation was pretty easy. I did have one issue with getting the separate keypad i ordered to keep working, but I contacted support and they were more than helpful to resolve the issue. Its been about a year and no issues with the gate.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great Gate Opener, Even Better Customer Service After a lot of research, I decided to go with the TOPENS AT602 gate opener and added the extended warranty. Even though my brother (a contractor) warned me that most gate openers can be a headache, I took a chance — and I’m glad I did. The unit arrived well-packaged and looked great. I did run into some adjustment issues during installation, so I contacted TOPENS directly. Their response was immediate and impressive. Customer service and ownership were proactive, communicative, and genuinely focused on making sure everything worked properly. They sent replacement parts that solved the issue, provided clear instructions, and followed up multiple times to confirm everything was working and that I was satisfied. I’ve now completed the install, and the opener works perfectly in a secure location. I highly recommend this product, not just for the quality of the gate opener, but for the exceptional customer service. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I would absolutely buy this again.

Purchased for a customers install. Unit works great and is very similar to the 5132 model which comes with a seperate power supply that allows for the solar to be connected without adding a solar charge controller. This unit allws for more options in regards to the setting up of the way the unit opens and closes the gate which is nice.

I tried another , a little bit cheaper and had to return it. The push button programing simply didn’t work. The Topens AT 600 was simple to install and worked right out of the box with a simple manual adjustment of the limit switches for correct closure stop. Topens would be a good choice, I hope it lasts

UPDATE 04/2026 I must say that this has been a very difficult journey dealing with Topens, but I can finally say ALL our issues have been resolved!!!!! They really stepped up and honored the warranty and our gate is working properly 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽that it continues to do so Please please be cautious with this product!! We had this professionally installed in October 2025, and the gate has never operated properly! We have purchased ALL Topens products as well as all the different exit devices, and still the gate does not open to exit. Now the remotes are not working properly, sometimes they open sometimes they don’t I’ve changed all the batter in all remotes but still the same results. I’ve been communicating with Topens and they have not been successful in the process, I’m not an electrician so I’m not comfortable doing the things they are suggesting. I have had to pay 3 times for the electrician to come out because clearly it’s the Topens product that is causing the issue.

Nicely designed and straight-forward install for 2-gate system. I was going to rate 4 stars because I could not get an existing exit wand to work but after contacting customer service they told me that i needed the following ... "ALEKO LM157A Replacement Sensor Adaptor for Exit Wand". This item installed directly on the AT602 control board and system works flawlessly now.

I think your opener made my life much easier,. It’s so convenient to just push a button and open my gate instead of walking all the way out to gate to open and back to my car. I had a little problem getting it to work and customer service walked me through what to check. It ended up being a problem with my electrical breaker and not the opener. I was so very proud of myself with the help of Evelyn at customer service for figuring it out and be able to repair breaker. Thank you

Easy enough to install and adjust after a few test cycles to fine tune the swing range. Plastic parts are integrated into the connections which seem, to me at least, to be a weak spot in the design. Plastic that is continually exposed to weather and the hot southern sun here in the gulf coast states has never held up in my experience. UV damage causes the plastic to become brittle and therefore easily break. Time will tell. Still might’ve gone with 4 stars overall IF the control box fit together better. The case was slightly warped when removed from the box and so it has a small gap between the base and outer cover. Plenty of room for rain to get in. It is recommended that the control box be installed under a rain guard, presumably due to the likelihood of leaking. The gasket isn’t thick enough to fill the gap. Had to seal with waterproof tape until I get a chance to build a more permanent cover. All in all, it’s still better than operating the gate manually.

Installed on a wooden handcrafted fence (each gate is 8' across/ 4' high). Opens and closes very smooth and fast enough for my needs. Took the better part of a day to do (including the electrical). They are mounted on 5" wood/round posts. Gates are an estimated 100-150 pounds. Wiring was straight forward and easy to do (all color coded). Unit has some advanced features like lights and external gate switch that I did not get. Nice feature for future use. Programming was a little challenging at first, but once i read the instructions a few times and played around it was not that difficult. There are also lots of gate opening/closing (programables) options that gives it lots of versatility. I liked this part. Manual was easy enough to read, Just lots of details for a first timer like myself. The only issue i really had was the limit switch. Manual was not fully clear for this newbie. Without setting the limit switch the gate does not open/close correctly, so the limits must be set. I only need to adjust the limit switch for the closing option. It slides back and forth easy enough. Once i had it set, I tightened the screw and it worked perfectly after that. Another issue was the play in the mount. Only my 5" wooden post the steel mounts had about a half inch play, which meant about 6-8" play where the gates meet. This is enough for my dog to squeeze through. My solution was to put a back support on the mounting. This reduced the play to precent my dog from slipping through. Yes I did think about an aligner where the gates meet, but this may have closing problems during the winter. Overall it was an enjoyable days work.

This gate opener works very well. When installing the gate I had some questions on the install which were promptly answered by Laura.

I am pretty happy with this. I had some issues with one of the arms, but the customer service was great. I contacted them via email, and had a reply waiting for me the following day with troubleshooting ideas. For me, unusually, one of the arms did not work, even after testing, so they sent me a replacement fairly quickly. I would like it to open slightly quicker, but that is no big deal really. What I was particularly impressed with was the clear installation instructions. The fact that this could be installed by any practical person allows it to be adaptable to your own needs. I.e. I had a quote from a reputable company, and they wanted thousands of dollars. Not only that, I would still have to do most of the prep work, and renew this and that. I also doubt a contractor would have spent the extra effort working around existing structures (a pergola and extremely mature plants / trees). The fact that this wasn't overly complicated meant that the homeowner can take more time and adapt accordingly. My particular set up did not allow me to mount one of the arms on the fence post directly because there was a pergola and mature wisteria only 6" away. However, the brackets came with more holes than needed, so I was able to angle it enough, then adjust the stop/start position so it could be attached to the pergola post instead (see photos). The hardest (time consuming) part was making it all look neat. E.g. cutting out a neat channel across the driveway for the slave arm cable, making sure the cables were cut to the correct length etc. I ordered the waterproof wired buttons too, but sent these back as they weren't as subtle as I hoped they would be, and as just a button, seemed expensive. A simple button works just as well, but you cannot use one with a back light, as the trickle charge needed for that will interfere with the function. Overall, absolutely chuffed with it. I will probably update my gate at some point, which will be easy as I can just disconnect this and attach to the new one, but for now, it looks very subtle and functions perfectly on my old gate.
