Tricky initial install, but absolutely worth it!
Works great after the install... slotting the card into the adapter is the easy part, connecting these antenna aren't quite nightmare level by any means, but expect to spend a few minutes on each one trying to line up these tiny connectors to the ports on the card. I blame my shaky hands at the time (I was excited for the new part!) but man... I nearly gave up thinking it wasn't the right card/connector/I'd bought the wrong thing.Just be sure to line it up as best you can and apply even pressure from two points. So yeah, only real gripe is how tiny the connectors on the adapter card are for the antenna on the wifi card. If those could be a SMIDGE bigger, and I mean just a little if only to have a little easier time installing it, this would be an easy 5-star for install rating. That aside, it works as intended. PC recognized it right off the bat, windows installed bluetooth and wifi drivers while on ethernet, restarted and bam, we are golden. Seems kinda weird to not have a wired connection on a desktop, but one fewer cable makes a huge difference in the long run!Value is absolutely here. Paired mine with the Intel 9260 and it's running strong. :)

WIFI and Bluetooth work like it should.
Opened the box, took the shield off, installed the Intel Wireless-AC 3168. Antenna connectors are soldered to the PCB, so it's a little fiddly to attach. Kind of wish they were pigtails. Put the shield back on and installed in the computer. Comes with a full and low profile backplate, and antennas. Computer started like normal and picked up WIFI immediately. Remember, bluetooth has an included cable that plugs into a USB header. This card is basically an adapter, so WIFI issues have to do with your choice of module and line-of-sight. Overall, so far so good, does what it says it does. Beats buying a fancy card if you have an m.2 module laying around.

This review is for the NGFF to PCIE adapter. ...
This review is for the NGFF to PCIE adapter. Paired with my Intel 8265 wireless chip, this adapter works admirably. Haven't tested full inter-network speeds but on the 5ghz band I'm maxing out my internet download speeds (75mb/s). As one of the other reviews said, the tiny clips to connect the adapter to your wireless card can be a pain but stick with it you'll get them snapped in eventually. One star off due to the extremely bright green LED on the back of the card. So bright that I had to cover it with electrical tape so it wasn't as big of a nuisance in a dark room.Edit: 5/28/18 - Changing my review to two stars as the card has begun to fail after a year. Wireless will fail for 30-60 seconds then recover. Happens several times a day.Edit #2 6/16/18 - After reaching out to the seller, he offered to replace the failing unit at no cost to me. Obviously I am frustrated the card needed to be replaced after barely a year, but was happy to see the seller stand by his product and replace it for free. The seller was apologetic and fairly quick in his replies, a quality you don't see with many sellers here on Amazon. Great customer service!Edit #3 1/1/19 - Unfortunately the replacement unit is beginning to suffer the same effects the original was above. It appears that the seller has not fixed the manufacturing issues with this device.

Great add-on for a dated "wired" PC
My older PC was one of the last systems in the house dependent on a wired connection. Very easy to install and I like the fact that I could mount my own preferred wireless card on it without difficulty. This great wifi add-on card really did the trick and allowed me to disconnect the wired connection from my dated computer and run on my wifi network and nearly 1Gbps! This my wifi card runs great and seems very stable mounted on this device which allowed me to utilize a PCIe slot on my computer. Without it there would have been no place for my Intel wifi card. I'm completely pleased with its performance thus far and it has been in my system and running for weeks without any issues!

Struggle with install but works great in correct PCIe slot
Quick Question? Is anyone using the metal chip cover that came with the card? It seems to me the chip will get too hot but I'm not sure how much heat the card generates currently. Is there a temp sensor on the card?I have a Gigabyte X270MX motherboard with PCIe slots x16, 2x8, 1x4 and 1x1 that's blocked by the GPU in x16. I bought this card and the Intel 9260NGW No V-Pro.I have one x8 to work with and considering an x1 should be able to work in any PCIe slot, I started off there and could not get Win10x64 to see the Intel 9260ac. The Bluetooth module was recognized but no WIFI. My Thunderbolt3 Card is being used in the last slot, x4 of my board and it has to be in that slot to work.I pulled my TB3 card and put this one into it and Windows immediately recognized evreything with great signal and no problems at all.I wish I had known this wouldn't work in an x8 slot. I tested the slot with an M.2 PCI card with a WD SSD and the x8 slot works just fine.I've tried all the settings in bios trying to figure it out and gave up for now. I do have a U.2 connector I could use but would have to buy a connector and some sort of adapter to get it to work. Thanks, Intel for giving us such as weird card format to work with that requires skill to get it installed. Kind of silly.I scoured any boards trying to figure out if anyone else has this problem and think it's just me. I did see many people who said they could get BT working but not WIFI so maybe they didn't try other slots on their motherboard. There has to be some logic to why this card only works in certain PCIe slots.
