Oven Pride Cleaning System 500g [Misc.]

This is, by far the best oven cleaner I've ever used. By accident I inverted a bake it yourself pizza as I was removing it from the oven--an oven that was in need of a cleaning before this. One of the racks was especially bad. After soaking the racks in solution for 24 hrs, it took an additional 5-6 minutes to remove some left on debris that hadn't quite come off. The oven racks were pristine with very little work on my part. The oven interior took a bit longer and I used an old paintbrush rather than a sponge, but everything did come off. The really amazing thing was the absence of odor--that awful, penetrating smell that I recall from other oven cleaning sagas. Also, my first use of the oven after the cleaning produced no odor upon heating and the shine of the racks, door and walls has not dulled. I would certainly order this product again at the listed price and wait patiently for it to arrive, as nothing else I've ever used touches it for quality, including self-cleaning oven I've used.

My sister was visiting from the UK and talked about this amazing product so I thought I'd better search for it and found it here on Amazon. I used it today for the first time. I followed the instructions which were very easy - basically just put your oven shelves in the sack and add the solution. It was very easy to manipulate the product around the bag to cover the shelves (I have two). An hour later I checked it and rolled the product around some more to redistribute the solution over stubborn bits and right away you can notice the grime dissolving into the product. It says leave overnight if possible ... But my shelves were already like brand new after just an afternoon ... And I mean BRAND NEW - there is not a mark on them and they were completely covered in grease and over grime! Never again will I spend hours of scrubbing shelves with only mediocre results!

Effective, but too pricey for just one application.

I am a fanatic of a clean oven, but boy do the shelves get ugly! My husband is a master cook, and our oven gets lots of use. So naturally the grime builds on our oven shelves, and I was looking for a product that would make this messy job easier. Well I found the best product of all time. It was so easy - I took the shelves, dropped them into the bag that was provided -- make sure you use the gloves that come with the product -- and you add the product. I left the shelves outside for about 8 hours, move the liquid around so it covered the shelves. I then rinsed the shelves out, and they looked like they were brand new. Where has this product been all my life? So glad I found it!

I ordered Oven Pride cleaning system & instead received 2 containers of Nestle Nesquik banana flavour. TOTALLY not right!

Yes, this works, sort of. My racks were not that dirty and I had hoped it would be as efficient as advertised. No it isn't a miracle, but my racks are cleaner. I followed directions and left my racks (3) in the solution over night. Perhaps if they gave you a little more cleaner it would have worked better. It is messy and hard to dispose off properly but it does help. However, I felt it was overpriced and of course it took a long time to arrive as it comes from the UK.

I used this extensively in the UK and cannot recommend it highly enough. Patience; leave the products to be cleaned in the bag with the solution for at least eight hours. I do it during the day so I can turn the bag several times and slosh the solution around Guaranteed to work beyond expectations. Sorry it is so expensive to import but more than worth the cost in efficiency and I will continue to buy it through Amazon since I can't carry it in luggage through customs.
