Genuine Pure Accessory - S-1 Marshall, Additional Speaker for Evoke-1S Marshall Radio

This is a great little speaker that enhances the performance of the Pure radio very well. I would recommend that anybody who is purchasing the Evoke radio buys the speaker at the same time. the only reason that it got four rather than five stars is that it is described as having a three metre lead, both on the website description and on the product box. The connecting lead on my one was barely one point seven metres, only a small point, but I believe product descriptions should be accurate.The lead was replaced by Pure Radio for one of the correct length so the speaker now merits five stars!

There is not much to say about this product except to say that it turned my Pure Evoke Flow into the best Midi system I have owned in years.I know that some people have been sceptical of the stereo separation you might expect from an add-on speaker, but just play Jean Michelle-Jarre, Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds, or Bond's Duel and you can easily tell you have a full stereo experience.The 3 metre cable means you can have a separation that suits your space. I have the "Flow" at one side of my desk and the S1 at the other. When certain tracks are playing with equal balance on both channels, the sound appears to emanate from my PC monitor. This is as it should be.This item will turn your Evoke Flow into a superior Midi Hifi.

This small accessory really complements the Pure Evoke radio , works perfectly , and the simple design is well conceived. Only slight problem is that the Cherry finish isn't quite the same tone ( ie slightly Darker ) as the radio I bought with it . I presume this has to be expected with natural wood colours but means it doesn't quite a look like a proper matching pair .;

Easy to connect to my Evoke Flow and has a reasonable amount of cable.Looks great and and sounds good too, whether from a mono or (even better) stereo source. I was pleasantly surprised by the sound quality.On balance as far as I am aware, there is nothing else similar available, so I was happy to pay the fairly hefty price.I am pleased with this purchase which arrived quickly and undamaged.

This little speaker is a very good addition to the Evoke Flow. Build quality is excellent, to match the radio, and it works perfectly. Sound quality is excellent, and adds a bit of 'weight' to the sound. Obviously you aren't going to get serious deep bass from small speakers like these, but we aren't talking about hi-fi systems anyway. For what it is the sound is very good. I quite like the separate speaker as you can get better stereo separation than for a radio with two speakers built-in.The Evoke Flow, this speaker and a decent MP3 player make a nice little sound system

If you are wanting this speaker as an extension for a bedside radio - forget it!! The description says the cable is 3M, but when the product arrives it is actually only around 5FT long - not long enough to stretch from one side of a kingsize bed to the other.After phoning Amazon ref the problem they were very good and immediately sent another one out, stating that the product I received was probably a "duff" one... but when that one arrived it was exactly the same!Therefore the product description on both Amazon's website and the speaker box itself, are wrong.I have returned one speaker, and am dealing directly with PURE ref the other one now, so hopefully my issue can be resolved at source.Apart from the length of cable, this is actually a very good speaker, so if you don't need to have it more than 5FT away from the radio then go for it!

One of the other reviewers commented that this additional speaker makes a good radio into a good little stereo system. I agree. If you have the facility for streaming music and don't need earth-shaking bass, I venture to suggest that this is enough for most rooms for a main music system. The extra speaker needs to be at least a metre from the radio to get a bit of separation but I am very impressed with the sound quality. Gets even better if you turn it up a bit, especially if you choose an internet radio station which broadcasts in high quality. Well worth the modest price.

It is not as easy to use as was suggested. I still only use probably 1/3 of the options simply because I can't work out how to use them without the instructions and who wants to use instructions to tell you how to work something? Basically, it's not Ron Obvious enough.
