Our central AC stopped blowing cold air. Went out side and noticed the fan was running but it didn't sound like the compressor was. Shut everything off and waited a bit then started the unit. That's when I heard this whining sound before the fan kicked on but not the compressor. My wife wasn't around, so I knew the whining sound wasn't her...It was a hot Monday on a holiday weekend so wasn't even thinking of someone making a service call! But you have to love Amazon Prime and this item was available for free next day delivery.This capacitor was the only one for next day shipping. It matched all the numbers for my bad capacitor and there were just 4 wires to install. Just do them one at a time or take a photo of your old part to use as a reference for wiring. Super simple and probably saved me more than a hundred dollars. Not sure on the quality of this one but I didn't realize there are taller/thin and shorter/rounder capacitors and I need the short one. This one is working fine and I will replace it and save it as a back up.

This is exactly what it claims to be and a much better deal than I could find anywhere else.

Saved myself $200. Super easy to install. Turn off power. Discharge old capacitor by touching screwdriver to the terminals. Unplug one wire at a time and plug it into the new capacitor in the same spot (c/fan/herm). Put ac back together because you're done. Turn power back on. Watched a YouTube video and now I'm an hvac tech. 😁

Bought this to replace the failing capacitor for my AC compressor/fan unit.The physical size is smaller in diameter as compare to my original one.but not big deal, you can use some hard rubber to add around the body for the mounting clip to hold it in place.(I choose this model because it is available and the fastest to deliver)I have a TRANE XE1000, I would say at least 20 years old.Replace this cap, and all working like the everlasting Train!
