OmniMount OC80FM Full Motion TV Mount for 37-Inch to 63-Inch TVs,Black

We have a Vizio E600-B3. I had checked out several mounts, but OmniMount kept sticking out to me. I contacted their customer service dept. before buying the mount to ask about the installation. The exterior walls of our house are cinder block with 2x4 studs, but the studs are faced down. Instead of 4" (3.5, stud + 0.5, drywall), we have 2" (1.5, stud + 0.5, drywall). I picked up some toggle bolts and was planning on using them, but wanted to check with OmniMount first. They stated I could use the toggle bolts, but that that would void the warranty - duh. What they ultimately recommended was my backup plan if the toggle bolts were a no go. Now none of that has anything to do with the mount, but I appreciate a good CS department.Having never owned a big TV and never needing to deal with a wall mount, I wanted to make sure I got a quality mount. I ordered a couple different mounts that I ended up giving as gifts because "additional assembly was required". The Vizio is only 53lbs, but I wanted a mount that was one piece....or at least most of it was one piece. The OmniMount OC80FM is basically two pieces; the wall-plate (with attached arm) that is secured to the wall and the plate that is secured to the television. I was blown away at how simple the design is - 'surely this can't hold 80lbs". After I anchored this to the wall (through studs and block) I had no doubt my TV was going to be 'alright'. I LOVE the full motion ability of this mount. My wife didn't like the idea prior to buying it, but now she "has to" to adjust the angle before she nestles down in her lounge. Ha!I can't recommend wall mount enough!

Came in last week and it looked pretty daunting so I procrastinated for a while. Finally - today - I broke open the box, scattered everything over the room, watched the installation videos and broke out the tools to do the job. I had read the reviews and a number of folks said that the mount isn't robust enough. I beg to differ. You could mount a Sony Trinitron (that means that the TV weighed 3 tons) on this sucker and if the studs in the wall held so would the mount.This is an excellent piece of workmanship and well worth the money.Installation was simple enough except for one thing. The video shows that the wall plate should be taken off in order to make the mount easier. I did so and recommend that IF you do it this way, you have help at hand - help with small fingers and infinite patience. It comes apart easily - just like in the video. However the video didn't show a bunch of washers and bearing flying through the air. In order to get the thing back in order I had to spend almost an hour cussing and fretting to get it mounted again - with all the parts. I suggest you follow the written guide sent with the mount.

It's hard to believe that this little mount works so well when you open the package but I have to admit that it does just that. My wife and I have purchased two of these mounts now. These mounts have been used to mount two Samsung HDTVs; a 46" inch in a bedroom and the 52" we use in the living room. They're full motion mounts too, which is an incredible feature at this low price point.It's a one stud mount design, which can be helpful or hurtful, depending on your room layout and wall placement. For our rooms, it was perfect. I had to use two Home Depot store bought 2-1/2" inch lag screws in the bedroom, due to our 2x3 wall. In the living room, we used 3" lags from HD in a standard 2x4 wall. Just make sure you predrill a pilot hole before lag screwing the back plate into place.The included 3-1/2" lags (from opinions of other reviewers, as well as myself) are quite cheap. In my humble opinion, they're overkill too. Do yourself a favor and just pick up your lag screws from HD or any hardware store. They'll likely work a bit better.The mount itself is strong as oak. I am quite happy with how it looks when the install is complete. Hopefully this review helps someone out there who is contemplating one of these things. It's worth it. And inexpensive too! Don't overpay. Wait until Amazon has it on sale!!

I have had this mount for over a year now and so far so good. You definitely need two people to hang your television. There are a lot of small screws and bolts so be prepared to spend some time. Assembly took me about an hour but I took my time. My stud was a little off center so I had my handyman attach a 2X4 to the stud to mount it exactly in the center over the fireplace. In retrospect the mount doesn't have to be exactly centered because of the flexibility. Another consideration that I had not considered after mounting the television over the fireplace is where the components can be placed. I actually mounted an Amazon fire on the back of the television with monster duct tape. So I became a cord cutter by default. Other than not having the golf channel I have been pretty happy with my ota antenna. I have also learned that with sound bars and Wi-Fi components are becoming obsolete. It is possible to have your cable or satellite receiver in another room. However, it should be a consideration if you plan to mount your television over the fireplace. The mount itself works well.

Es soporte es de una calidad excelente, el precio en esta página es una ganga, a mi me costó $2000 pesos y por temporadas lo he visto aquí más barato, en tiendas departamentales lo he visto más caro, el único problema que posiblemente tengan es con los tornillos, a lo mejor tengan que comprar tornillos mas largos para instalar el televisor pero es algo común, he visto instalar tres televisiones y vi que es un problema que tuvieron en los tres casos, los soportes han tenido tornillos cortos, en mi caso compré dos tornillos para la parte de abajo de la tv, este soporte es calidad, como dato la tv es de 55 pulgadas por si alguien en un caso similar busca una opinión confiable de este producto.

Fantastic bracket at a great price. Chose this over more expensive makes due to previous reviews and so pleased we bought it. Holds our 50" tv perfectly and safely on the wall.
