Great EDC light with bright but short turbo
The media could not be loaded. I own more than 20 flashlights from various brands including quite a few from Sofirn because they deliver good value at reasonable prices. The SC31 Pro is a fairly new light, I purchased the SST40 6500K version. It's an improved version of the SC31 with a SST40 LED and a USB-C charge port.Pros:- Anduril UI which is very customizeable- Turbo is very bright as can be seen from my beam shot video- Color temp felt warmer than the 6500K indicated- Just the right size for EDC- USB C chargingCons:- Gets hot quickly on Turbo, steps down within 1 minute- The spill has a second ring which results from the reflector design, noticeable at lower settingsMy beam shot video was taken at ISO 400, 1/30 sec, F1.5, WB=5000kIn summary, if you are looking for an EDC light that can light up the whole area in Turbo (when walking your dog at night, or camping), this is the light for you.Tip: Out of the box, the temperature calibration is way off, showed 32C in a 19C room, which will result in turbo stepping down too quicklyInstruction on how to calibrate temp under Anduril UI:From Off3 clicks to enter battery check2 clicks to enter sunset mode2 clicks to enter beacon mode2 clicks to enter temp checkFlashing shows current temp4 clicks to enter temp calibration1 flash – follow by rapid flashing, while flashing rapidly, click N times where N=room temp in C, stop2 flashes – follow by rapid flashing, while flashing rapidly, click N times (up to 35) to set max temp to 30C + N, stopFlashing shows original temp -> brief pause -> flashing shows new temp1 click to turn off

Lights good battery cell is junk
Well I got the light it came with a sofrin 3000mah 18650 battery when I opened the light to charge my light it would not take charge or turn on...I thought I had a defective light..so I ended up putting the cell that came with the light on my charger and popped in a Samsung 18650 and guess what...it worked! ..the battery that came with the light was no good at all! I've contacted Amazon about this and it doesn't seem that they are gonna do a thing about it ...I want to keep the light but at this point being fed up with the communication I'm ready to send the whole unit back..being they wont respond to me with what we can do to resolve the situation ..

Fantastic EDC flashlight
You would be hard pressed to find a better flashlight for the money! Have a couple of other Sofirn lights. Had the SC31B. No hesitation in recommending that light as well. The pro version looks pretty much identical but it is a huge improvement. We are now in the class of great lights rather than just good ones. The Andruil UI really transforms the light. You don't have to be a flashlight geek to use Andruil. Out of the box the light is not difficult to operate and will amaze while being simple. Just click to turn it on, click to turn it off. When on, hold to go brighter or dimmer, release and hold to go the other direction. From off, a long press will get you a moonlight mode! (You can't have a great EDC flashlight without a moonlight mode.) Double click will take you to an amount of light you won't belive from such a small light. Double click from on and you get a turbo that is even brighter. The defaults will give very good thermal management so that you can use the light without destroying it or burning yourself. I don't think there is another light in this price range that does this as well.If you are willing to spend a little time with the manual you can customize it to work the way you want it to. In my case I did not need to calibrate the temperature and am happy with the default conservative limits. Great amount of light at reasonable temperatures. I just changed the low level on the stepped ramp and then changed to stepped from smooth ramp. Everything else I left at default. To each there own though. You can set it up as you like it.The battery check is spot on and quite useful. Haven't tested the USB charging yet but am certain it is fine. Just don't make a habit of leaving it connected to a charging cable. Sofirn uses a good charging circuit but I prefer a dedicated charger so I can see what is going on with the battery. The supplied battery is top notch. Performs better than spec with low IR.Only two things I would change if I could. Would prefer a warmer tint. Hopefully they will have the 5k version on amazon soon. The 6500k version is much better than I thought it would be. Not crazy cool. I would call it a daylight tint. The body is reversible. Mine is clipped into my pocket. However, if you ware a hat with a brim, you can reverse it so that it can be clipped to the brim for a headlamp! I also have a nylon tie at the top of my bike helmet and clip it through that for a great bike light.Fun bonus. There are several blinky modes. One is a party strobe that you can configure and can be used for stopping motion etc. One that is very fun is lightning storm. It also has a bike strobe and a tactical strobe. Of course these are hidden so that you don't activate them while just trying to use the light. The other thing is that I would like it if the moonlight were lower. This is about as bright of moonlight as is acceptable.Lots more I could say but sure others will write better reviews soon.Bottom line: Unless you are willing to spend twice as much you won't find anything close to as nice a EDC flashlight as this.

What a great flashlight!
Just perfect for my adventure/camping motorcycle trips. Compact, lightweight but packs some performance. I especially like the dimming function. Good to use out doors with a bright, broad beam then dim it down for softer ambient lighting inside the tent. Green on/off/function button makes finding it in a pitch black tent a breeze. Get one!

Love this torch!
I love this torch! It's so easy to use although I really only use the adjustable brightness feature which is very easy to use (just hold it down to go brighter and then hold down again to go dimmer). Haven't had it long enough to comment on battery life and it's been fine in light rain. Very happy with this purchase.

It's tricky to start as a layman
Anduril UI for someone who isn't a flashlight enthusiast is confusing as all hell to start. But like all things, you get used to it and it becomes second nature and committed to memory.Bright, during set up I shone it on Turbo onto my white desk by accident in a well lit room and it still slightly hurt my eyes.Mine was sturdy, no battery wobble. Charged it once and am still using it a few weeks later.

Very bright little flashlight!
Love this flashlight is small and very bright, Using the Panasonic GA 3500 mAh with this flashlight is making more brighter and lasting longer than the battery that comes with it.
