Jesus an Essene Paperback – December 4, 2015

This is an interesting book, although somewhat dated stylistically. The author gives a great deal of detailed and informative background information about the Essenes of the time, and how their teachings contrasted--or were similar--to Jesus'. Although it greatly pre-dates the finding of the Dead Sea Scrolls, it's fascinating to note how the current scholarship on the subject bolsters or confirms the author's conclusions. A very interesting and enlightening read!

I loved this book, made me think and pray. Answered lots of questions. As believers I think we need to seek and learn more of our Saviors life.

Finally a book that supports my hypothesis that Jesus was an Essene. For the past several years I've researched to determine as much as possible about how Jesus was able to live and promote the life he lived that is so distant from the lives of whom call themselves Christians. Thank you for writing this book and will be an informative guide to those that share a similar question!

All this time I've been lied to by organized religion. This finaly cuts through to the truth. Now I can see why things are presented the way they are in the bible. All I ask is the truth. I feel better for reading this book.

The book was very interesting and gave much info on the Essenes' life. I didn't care for the last part of the book. The author got off course and gave his opinion of Jesus life instead of sticking to the life of the Essenes.

The author is obviously sincere in his arguments. However, most of his theory is SUPPOSITION and is as solid as a piece of Swiss cheese. This work is aimed as discrediting Jesus and Christians will see through its numerous holes easily.

An honest and thought provoking look at the reality of the man Jesus. It does require one to suspend faith, and to use reason, logic and common sense.

This book provided all the information I required on he above topic. It was easy to understand,it was comprehensive and able to be used as a springboard for further research, providing basic avenues of where to go.
