Impressive.
I've always wanted to get myself a kitchenaid mixer and I finally got one! I must say, so far I'm impressed. I also got the kitchenaid flex edge beater to go with the mixer and it does wonders. To be honest, the flex edge beater should have been included with the mixer instead of the regular one that comes with it, but alas, I had to buy it (the flex edge beater) separately. It's nice to let your mixer do its thing while you prepare something else.I will also note that I did read the reviews about the grey residue in the bowl and how to get rid of it. So by the time I got the mixer, I was prepared to remove it. I appreciated the heads up in those reviews and I will also do the same for anyone who reads my review. The baking soda paste did a wonderful job removing the residue, but one may have to repeat the process a few times before completely removing it. Other than that issue, the mixer is great and I would definitely recommend it. I even made a batch of cupcakes!

top notch
Having grown up in Troy, OH, where the Kitchenaid mixer originated, this mixer has been a staple in our kitchen for as long as I can remember. It has NEVER failed to perform. I truly cannot imagine my kitchen ever being w/o this work horse. Everyone in our family owns a Kitchenaid mixer, many have received them as wedding gifts. A few times the mixer has outlasted the marriage! Our mixers even travel for the holidays. We have several mixers running @ our annual family Christmas cookie bake. Some are mixing cookie dough while others mix frosting or fondants. The only reason I am making this purchase is i'd like to upgrade to the Artisan caviar mixer. I've had my eye on this mixer for several years now while visiting the Kitchenaid store in Greenville, OH. If you ever have the opportunity to visit OH it is well worth the trip. However, you'll most likely find a better price on Amazon.

A must for the cook!
I bought one of these sometime ago and it was the only thing my ex took when she left! I bought another one and now know why she chose to take the other one with her! This is a great tool in the kitchen for the cook or baker. I have used it many many times and will continue to do so. It's sturdy build and clean lines are certainly appealing to me in this day and age of cheaply built products but I have found its performance to be unmatched. Do yourself a favor and get one of these!

Worth the money
Works great,my significant other loves it, and I love all the treats she’s been making with it!!Only thing is the stainless steel portions of this machine do come with a tarnish/residue on them, which I was warned by other reviews. I washed all these parts with a baking soda/water solution and it got all the residue off.

Great mixer
Really wish i'd bought this mixer sooner, I've been wanting one for years. Spent my day yesterday making Christmas cookies and this mixer made it so much easier and faster. I chose the Caviar color, which is basically a metallic black. I was happy with the color. Bowl fits a double batch of your basic chocolate chip cookie recipe. Love it! I will be looking for more reasons to use it.

Strong motor, gets the job done
This thing is great. The motor is pretty strong, although it does begin to struggle when mixing thick stuff like protein powder and peanut butter based snack bars. The lever that locks the mixer in the mixing position doesn't have any real set/lock/set-in mechanism. If I recall correctly, there's an extremely minor click, but it's essentially non-functional. You just pull the lever forward and hope it stays. Well, when the mixer is doing its work, it doesn't. The lever tends to wander backward. This seems like a fairly obvious design flaw. It's a small annoyance to have to monitor this lever and sometimes hold it forward. Otherwise, it's great!

REFURBISHED markings if you are gifting
Great product. The Kitchen Aid mixer is the standard in the industry. Just be aware when you buy this particular one that the box is emblazoned REFURBISHED in big letters all over the box if you are gifting it. The warranty is the same as new but its a negative IMHO if they open it and the first thing they see is refurbished.

Soo worth it!!
This machine is amazing! I am making our homemade breads and buscuits on a weekly basis and it works great! Definitely worth the money!! The one thing I would pay attention to is the wattage. Depending on what you make with the machine really makes a difference as to the wattage needed to have the power to mix. I make wheat breads and buscuits and this one is the perfect size!

I'm pleased
The KitchenAid Artisan is a very well built stand mixer. I had a problem related to improper packing by Amazon, that was resolved. I have only used the stand mixer a few times but I am quite impressed, it is relatively quite and appears to have more than enough power to mix anything I have yet to throw at it.

and everything about it feels sturdy. It operates like a charm
I tend to rate appliances by weight. As a basic rule of thumb, the heavier they are, the more chances they are reliable, in that they use less plastic. I'll admit this is not an infallible rule...Had it for a month. It is surprisingly heavy when unboxing, and everything about it feels sturdy. It operates like a charm, with a welcome lack of super-duper buttons and functions. It does what it says and do it well.

325 watts it mean?
Great looking mixer and always wanted one but first thing I got educated on was what does 325 watts mean for power and it's not much if you do any heavy mixing like pie/bread dough it struggles to mix. It's a great mixer for light tasks, whipping cream/egg whites ect but if your a real foodie looking for a beefy mixer to mix wet heavy items without grinding and worrying if it can handle it or not move on up in wattage and spend a little more, wish I had.
