Amazing sounding amp
The amp is so clean and the sound phenomenal. I bought the 50 watt combo amp. It sounds like a Tube amp but it's not and the effects are brilliant too, the reverb and overdrive. I love the clean setting with my pedalboard. Would love a bigger Blackstar when possible

Perfect for beginners but...
I bought this little amp only a few months ago, when i decided to re-learn guitar after many years away from it. This amp stood out to me as i had learned that Blackstar amps were a respectable brand, amongst the many others out there. It was at a price point i was willing to pay at the time, and i liked the features, such as headphone port, and mp3 port. I play at night a lot, so its cool being able to jam along to tracks on youtube, all totally though headphones. Sound quality without headphones is fine. nothing special. but its a 3 inch speaker with only 15w of power. so you cant expect to sound like your heroes using this amp. it is not loud enough for band practices but can get loud enough to hear round the house if you fancy. but its built for low volume essentially... it is nothing more than a little practice amp. The built-in delay and overdrive mean you dont really need to invest in any pedals, and the clean sounds pretty nice. Its worth knowing though, that after only a few months of owning, im already craving more power and sound, as the 3 inch speaker in this guy is a bit weedy and boxy. i have my eye on the Blackstar HT-5R Mkii - so, maybe consider this before buying. this little amp looks ace, and sounds fine, but you may wish you had spent a bit more on something a bit bigger.

Absolutely ridiculous value
Let me preface this review by saying that my hobby is building valve guitar amps. The trouble is that even the tiny ones need to be very loud before sounding their best. Also, it seems a waste of energy to have a glowing radiator on every time I want to play. So, I wanted to get a little practice amp that sounded decent overdriven at low volume. After a thorough YouTube investigation, I chanced upon a demo/review of this amp and didn't believe that an amp this small could sound so good. I ended up ordering both this and the bigger model, the 15e. Well, I first tried the 15e and was deflated: it sounded like any other practice amp (harsh, shrill, flat). Not expecting much now, I powered up the 10e and that sound I was hoping for was there in spades: it sounds like a big amp up loud, just quieter. Weirdly, the low end isn't obviously lacking. Somehow, a miracle has occurred in the interaction between the twin 3" speakers and the enclosure. Both cleans and the fixed heavy overdrive sound BIG.I got equally great results from a Strat, Tele, and Les Paul: the 'ESF' tone control sounds good on everything at about 10 o'clock, but going 'earlier' scoops low mids and suits humbuckers, with 'late' positions sounding great for single-coil leads. Seriously great. Like, Joe Bonamassa kind of great. The echo effect is simple but very effective: depth/feedback can't be changed, so the control just changes the timing of the effect. However, it's a useable setting for most applications and it sounds, yes, excellent.Downsides: well, the overdrive level is fixed, so to get crunch sounds you gotta use your volume control... just like some pros still do today (Trainwreck Express users, for example). This is the weak point, because the 'in-between' sounds aren't very nice, breaking up in a way that will displease those used to nice valve amps. They're not terrible, but just not stellar. So, in sum, I genuinely think that you could track with the filthy and clean sounds on this amp (a ribbon mic would work well in this dinky amp) alongside a 'serious' amp without it sounding out of place. The fact that the crunch sounds are so-so just highlights how good the other sounds are.

Outstanding!
This little amp is incredible. I was looking for a small amp to use for practice. I'd researched all amps 10w or less, the most important feature being the ability to produce great sound at low volume. It's so much better than I could have expected, closer to my son's orange crush 20rt but less size and cost.Simple, effective controls. Clean and dirty channels decent and delay effect is quality.Highly recommended!

Powerful
Great little amp, very powerful, the clean channel is very good if you use external pedals, also the headphone output has the reverb in stereo, nice touch 👍

Wow. You can get it to reverb. Now it's up to your guitar
I am very happy with the sound I can get from this amp. So far I've played a very modified Squier Affinity Strat with Lace Sensors, and a Fender Deluxe Roadhouse Strat on it. The delay can dialed in for a very enjoyable reverb. That is outstanding for a $100 amp. So much better than my Vox solid state from years ago, now valued at $200. For what it is, it's awesome. I highly recommend it. The black body and cream fabric is sweet too. Coupled with quality pickups will make for a rewarding practice session.
