So glad I bought these. They're perfect for scoring my sourdough loaves. The blades are sharp & long-lasting.

These come in a handy cardboard box for ease of storage, have plenty of replacement blades in a little baggy, a little tool for the screws and there is a blade cover for each lame, for safety. I've found the curved one much easier to use than the straight one. The latter has protruding screws to hold the blade, and I find that these interfere and drag on the dough, meaning that any cut is quite superficial, and not deep enough for sourdough or baguette crust. While this may be partly my lack of familiarity with the tool, it is part of the design which could be better, and for this reason I am not giving it five stars.

have not used it yet. It was easy to put together. OK value for money. I think the bottom line is that if you like making bread you need all the gadgets. this is another gadget. I have been using a safety razor quite successfully for years. have to see how long the blades last. there are 20 blades in the kit, how blunt can they get slashing dough.WARNING. Been using this gadget for a while and keep it in a kitchen drawer along with other kitchen tools. The other day I was rooting around in the drawer and did not notice the leather pouch for the blade had come off. I soon noticed when I cut the end of a finger. I now have the tool disassembled with the blade stored in the pouch.

Beginner to bread making with sourdough I used the straight edge lame to do my Baguette with.Easy to use and comes with safety covers to both the curved and straight razors.Comfortable to hold does what I need it to do.

The curved blade is better than the flat one, but I was not very impressed

I've had many blades for slashing bread, but these are the best, incredibly sharp, and plenty of spare blades.When I ordered, I thought the straight blade would be a waste, but I use them equally. If I had any critique, it would be that the wooden handles are a tad big. Something finer would seem more in keeping with the scale, but overall I'm happy with the purchase.

I can't decide whether my sharp tomato (serrated) knife is better.You get a good supply of blades and both tools have a cover. But I've already had to hold the straight-edged lame's cover on with an elastic band. Otherwise, well made tools.

Great tool for the home baker. Cuts across the dough so much better than a knife.
