These plates are positively fantastic! While we have yet to use them in our compost, they held up incredibly well this past weekend during our socially-distanced get together (masks on, held outside, at least 12 feet apart, etc). They were sturdy, didn't leak, and generally held up incredibly well. The natural design of the palm leaf is also a welcomed change from typical disposable plates. The forks and knives also worked well for cutting through both chicken breast and slices of cake.That said, if you do plan on using these plates in your compost, be sure to rinse them off first. Certain organic material is inappropriate for composting such as sugar and certain acidic fruit. We made sure everyone scrapped their plates into the trash and set up another receptacle for the plates themselves.Overall, these were great. Pricier than typical paper plates? Absolutely! And yet, still worth every penny.

Purchased these for my wedding and was very happy with them, they are very sturdy, and are aesthetically attractive. Lots of compliments and people wanting to know where to purchase. Will continue to recommend and use.

These plates were used to serve our Thanksgiving feast this year! Wanted to spend more time with family and friends. Less time washing dishes after the big dinner. They did not leak! We spent approximately forty five minutes to an hour eating off them. No issues with leakage at all! They were extremely sturdy and matched my table decor perfectly! The reason for 4 stars and not 5 stars was because there was five to six plates I had to throw out. They had black mold in areas on them! Yuck.

These are a great alternative to plastic plates. However, they are pretty inconsistent, but the biggest issue is the silverware. I got a few complaints about it giving the food an odd taste, having a sticky texture, and breaking during the meal. I didn't find it was that large of an issue, and would certainly consider buying this package again.

I love these plates beatiful no one wanted to throw them away! works well with saucec and food with liquid. No problem in microwave. you can actually resuse if gently washed for less messy foods!.

I was very happy with these plates for our event! They were pretty to display, held the food well and were easily disposed of. The only downside to them was they DO absorb liquid. We had Hawaiian meatballs at our event which included a juice on top. The plate held the liquid for a short time but quickly absorbed the liquid and the plate warped. Not a big deal, really but something to consider. Either way, I was pleased with the product.

Used for our daughters wedding on Kauai. Very attractive, sturdy. She insisted everything had to be biodegradable and compostable. So glad she did because they were perfect with bamboo forks and knives in that beautiful setting. I had burlap tibbon around the flower vases to tie it all tovether.
