We have hard water with lots of minerals, these are amazing!! I have one in the dishwasher and one in the washer, dishes and clothes get so much cleaner without anything other than detergent. They work so well, I sent two with my daughter back to school to use in her apartment!

Honestly don't even know if it's working or not. I just leave it in my washer hoping for the best. It was cheap enough to try so there you go.

I was super skeptical that a magnetized ball would do anything in the washing machine. I have really hard water - lots of iron, calcium, lime and other metals. The iron over time makes all our whites brown and our colors dingy. The clothes were often stiff and blankets/sheets weren't soft anymore after a few washes. I've been adding this little ball to all my loads. I use a hypoallergenic ("free") detergent (usually All or Arm and Hammer) and rarely add fabric softener (since many clothes now recommend not adding it due to moisture-wicking properties of the fabrics). I have been using this magnoball for about 2 months and at first I wasn't sure it was doing anything, but as it has gone through repeated washes, the whites that were brown are now whiter, my colors are brighter, and all our clothes, towels, blankets, and sheets are soft again. It helps some with static, although I often add a hypoallergenic dryer sheet in the dryer since it runs on propane and the gas heat increases static. Generally speaking, without all the build-up of hard water deposits, I think the clothes are cleaner - I know my husband's work uniforms are less smelly! I highly recommend this product! Over time it really does make a big difference without adding any sort of chemicals, scents, or additives to the water. It is just magnets.

I have no way to tell for sure that this gizmo is working. I have maybe slightly less sudsing than when I used Calgon Water Softener, and I can’t tell if there’s calc on the works of the machine without taking the machine apart. I would appreciate hearing from the manufacturer how to know.

I have hard water and my dishes always come out with the white residue on them so I tried this and it did absolutely nothing my dishes did not come out any cleaner, I even used two of them and still nothing. At least it was cheap so I’m not out a lot of money.

My water is very high in rust and sediment. Although it didn't solve the problem it did help.

Not only is Magnoball preventing limescale stains on my glassware, but it is also removing old limescale stains. Each time I wash limescale stained glasses, it removes a little more. It takes up one spot in the silverware basket. I wish I had known about the Magnoball before. Highly recommend!
