Works well, manual difficult to follow
As another commented, the manual is difficult to follow. It almost seems as though they are referring to a different product. However, at the end of it all, it can be figured out, and so far it appears to work very well. The first thing to note is that the units look similar, but one is a transmitter, the other is a receiver. I did not notice that until after I had installed it. Happily it was ok the way it was. And as a reviewer noted, the only thing the unit (on the receiver end) will do is open or close a relay. That's it. You have the option of either normally open or normally closed. The little diagram on the unit is clear enough on that aspect. To make it do something, I got a 1000 ft wireless doorbell and jury-rigged the button. That is, I soldered in a pair of wires across the button of the doorbell (there goes that warranty). The wires coming out of that went into the detector to the normally-open connections. Worked like a charm. It is small enough to fit inside the unit. For alignment, I put some reflective tape on the back plates, then used a laser-based measuring device to align/point the posts/unit to each other. The laser pointer was a squared box-like item that I could rest against the plate. Best done in dusk hours. This worked so well, that I got a the maximum reading when was powered up. No further adjustment necessary. This was fortunate because I could not tell from the manual how one was supposed to do this. More recent investigations are yielding some clues though. One other thing of note is the delay setting. It seems that this is initially set to a value that allows setting up the device, but does not trigger any alarm. Only when I turned this setting did the alarm (ie my doorbell) work as expected.Anther oddity is the wiring. They have a hole for the wire to come in, but there isn't an specific channel for it to come out between the back plate and the unit. There is some space back there, but wires need to be reasonably small; not landscape wiring for example. Similarly, the mechanics of attachment should probably have more options. The holes in the plastic for the bolts were not clean through. I had to drill those out.At the end of it all, though, the price is reasonable, and it is working as it should. It does require some DIY. That's the trade off here.Update: Figured out a bit more of the alignment process. The manual suggests things, such as thumb wheel that do not exist, and doesn't mention one key item that does. There is a little oblong block that is meant to be put into the tab on the side of the middle lens. You then look into a tiny 45 degree viewer on the little oblong block. Very unclear in the manual, and probably not much better here. However, only in the comfort of a living room was it possible to do this. In real life outdoors, I found it impossible to deal with. So, I think my laser measure was the best option after all. It also seems that trial and error, using the strength indicators, may work if you start from a reasonably good place.

NO MANUAL, NO INSTRUCTIONS - NO CONTACT INFORMATION - NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT!
I purchased these because I had a home invasion. TERRIFIED because I was at home - I am desperate to add more security. I ordered these to add to my system - BUT - I have no idea how to connect them to power, how to add a siren and how to activate and de-activate in the even they go off! This is SO FRUSTRATING and I can't recommend something that doesn't work!

Infrared beams
I use these infrared beams as a perimeter alert on my property lines. With the dual or triple beams you cut down on false alarms (flying birds or lizards climbing on housing won’t set it off). I have mine send me a push notification on my Apple Watch when the beam is broken. It is also hooked up to my nvr to trigger alarm recording. It feels like mission impossible with these beams. They eliminate false alarms and are way better than PIR (too many false alarms during day) and microwave radar (triggered by swaying trees and heavy rain). You must understand low voltage relays to use these. They essentially complete or interrupt a circuit when triggered. If you don’t understand what that means you probably won’t be able to set these up properly.
