Nice quality at a great price

I'm highly impressed by the strong backbone of this rod. Can bend a great deal, and handles stress well.Feel of the blank is very light and whippy, even at heavy action, but then again I'm personally using this for light inshore saltwater fishing, not the recommended application.Handle feels a little cheap, and I don't think my guides are all 100% straight, but still 5 stars for the price.

It says it a 1 piece rod but it's a 2 piece

I own about 7 of these rods in various sizes. I use them for everything from float fishing for steelhead, casting spoons for salmon, bottom jigging tubes for smallmouth, or casting swim baits for stripers. Very good backbone and durability to them. I landed a 37 pound king salmon on the 9’6 this past fall below Niagara Falls and had complete control of the fish at all times. Best bang for your buck.

I used my Rod on the betsie river during the fall salmon run. The action and feel this pole provided was awesome and it handled these 30lb fish just fine for a 9’ pole. Highly recommend.

I bought because of the reviews. I am glad that I did it is 9’ with a rating of 1-6 oz lure . Which means I can take it up to the big ditch and do some jigging with my 3 to 5oz jigs . Can't wait for stripers to start running.

I have the spinning version of this rod nd love it, I use it for catfish and striped bass nd works great. So I figured I would set up a casting setup to use while throwing.., So I arrive home and find this at my front door, picture is worth a thousand words, yall have to get this shipped out by a better carrier , this is just not right at all people are spending hard earned money on these products and yall not seem to care about how it arrives as long as yall get paid , this was suppose to be a 2 peace 9ft heavy rod, now its a 4 peace... my advice just get it at the store if you can find it.. not blaming okuma, who's at fault is who ever is selling this and the carrier!!!!

I use this rod for throwing rat-l-traps for san pablo bay striper and surfperch on the coast. Has worked great so far and would recommend it for that application 100% paired with a squall low profile it has the ability to cast deep and trow big baits and bottom rigs and would have no doubt it can handle a small leopard shark or ray if you hook into one.
