Hard to Find Mothball-Container
Thanks to amazon reviewers who answered my questions here about this product, I purchased the 6 can size, & I'm very happy that I did.I was very tired of the trouble & expense of finding replacements, seemingly every season, for the cheap plastic mothball container products that are to be found at SuperMarkets, drugstores, Home Depot, & the like. It seems like every time I had to open them to put a new refill inside, something broke—the cheap plastic hanging rod, the cheap plastic closure device, or the cheap plastic container itself. The procedure of filling a dump with cheap plastic mothball containers every season certainly was not what I call "going green"; recycling is a better option, but also a poor alternative to finding an item that does not need to be recycled every year. The trouble was that I couldn't find a better alternative. While doing a google search, I came across some antiques sellers that were offering "perforated mothball cans". These were mostly from the 1930s - 1950s, & they still worked, because they were made of all-metal. The problem with these is that the sellers were asking $20-50 for the can alone, because they were "valuable" antiques. That search led me here to amazon, where I discovered the modern version, at a far lower price, & one that included the mothball cakes. To reiterate what previous reviewers told me, these can be used in drawers or clothes storage containers; just unwrap a mothball cake (inside the can), replace the cover, & put it where you need it. Alternately, you can hang these in a closet by using the included metal "hanger"; just insert the hanger into the holes in the side of the can (no tools required), replace the can cover, & hang the can on your closet rod.Yes, this is an expensive item if you're buying it for the mothballs alone (which are here actually a heavy, solid cake, not small balls or flakes). But for me, the mothball part is not what I'm primarily paying for. What I wanted (& got) is a heavy duty perforated mothball container that will be used for many years to come & will be around long enough to eventually be sold as an "antique" as well. No more plastic junk in the landfill or recycling plant every year. Each container comes with two large mothball slabs, individually wrapped. You can use one or both at the same time. If one of the slabs is still too much for the space your're moth-proofing, I suppose you can chip pieces off using the proper tools. Complete instructions for use, & the normal mothball safety precautions are included. The manufacturer sells replacement slabs, so you'll only have to buy the can once in a lifetime under normal use. And if you don't like the slabs, you can fill it with flakes or balls as well (the perforated holes are small enough to prevent them from falling out).My only complaints about this product are:1) like any can of this type with a push-on/ pull-off top, it's hard to get it off. I have to use my fingernails or a tool to pry the top off the can. Maybe a screw-on top would be easier to use.2) I would like to see the manufacturer sell the cans alone. That would allow buyers to find their own mothballs/ flakes/ slabs themselves, at the best price. These slabs are seemingly no better or worse than others I've tried.

STINKS
I would give this no stars if possible. It was advertised as odorless. The smell was so bad it caused my throat to hurt from being in my bedroom closet. I thought it might get better after a few days but had to throw them away. They smell like the men’s urinal cakes!

To smelly
The entire house reeks. I tried to stay with this to get rid of the moths but we could not stand the smell and still had moths. The closest and clothing still has a heavy odor even with the cans removed.
