Perfect Companion for Ruger Precision Rifle
Bought this tool to properly torque the Warne scope mounts I bought. I am a torque wrench/tool fan in the first place, but it seemed a really good idea for even clamping of scope tubes in the mounts. Plus, the Ultra-High QD mounts have six screws each, so the compact size of this T-driver made the job quicker. As an added bonus, it is the perfect torque driver for the screws on a Gen-3 Ruger Precision Rifle that are T-15 and want 25 in-lb: Handguard and Scope Base (Picatinny Rail)In use, the "feel" at torque is a slip-bump, instead of a click. A little un-nerving at first, since it feels exactly like stripping out the head of an Allen-head screw. Once I got the feel, I was confident everything was torqued as recommended and nothing was getting stripped/bent/dented.One "con" that some may have is that the T-15 bit is permanent. In other words, it will not accept other sizes of bits, nor is the T-15 replaceable if it becomes damaged. The tool is purpose-specific (as advertised) for T-15 scope ring screws, but I was pleased it meets the needs of other fasteners on my RPR.

Seems to break at the same force.
The wrench seems to release at the same amount of force on all the screws can only assume it is right. It DID NOT strip any of the screw heads out.

EXCELLENT TOOL. ALL RIFLEMEN NEED ONE.
I got my WARNE 25 in lb. torque wrench today. I have always used the feel method. My scope screw torquing life changed today. I installed a new scope on a new rifle today and used the WARNE torque wrench. They have done their home work.the torque was perfect every time. I tested each screw with my feel method and am convinced that this is the only correct way to install scope screws. WARNE you are to be congratulated. Amazon you are commended for selling this quality tool. I am telling all sportsmen that install their scopes to buy the WARNE torque tool.I would recommend one thing to WARNE, make the WRENCH so the tool can be changed to other sizes. All scope screws are not the same size. I think they should be.THIS WARNE TORQUE WRENCH IS A WINNER.C.S.M.

Mixed Feelings
I've been extremely impressed with the quality of Warne Scope Mounts and Rings and would recommend their mounts and rings to ANYONE that desires quality and perfect form/fit/function.But apparently "tool maker" they are not..The quality of this tool is that of something you would fish out of a plastic tub at the counter of your local auto parts store. :(The T-15 component is plated metal and showed signs of wear after it's first use.The plastic handle feels cheap and due to design can NOT be calibrated with out destruction of the tool.Critical Failure: The 25 lb-in was not accurate when compared to my calibrated Mountz torque wrench. Enough that this unit I planned to toss in the range tote, will be tossed in the trash instead. :(It must also be noted that the initial torque break on this unit drove the first fastener well beyond the 25 lb-in mark before the torque limiter broke, subsequently the remaining fasteners were all below 25lb-in and did not meet required spec needed or advertised on the tool. :(

May only be good for one torque setting
This was the first time I had ever used a torque wrench for my scope rings, and I have been mounting scopes for about 12 years or so. May only be good for one torque setting, but it has a VERY positive feel, and was very reassuring to have the right torque spec. Especially after cracking a pair of rings before. May have been due to applying to much pressure, or faulty rings. But, this product worked great. I'll probably just stick with Warne rings in the future so I don't have to worry about having different specs.

Does what it is supposed to do, I think ...
Does what it is supposed to do, I think. Of course there is no way for me to measure if the amount of torque is actually 25 foot pounds. I do not get an audible click when the torque wrench breaks at 25 foot pounds. I thought there was supposed to be an audible click. I hope wrench is working properly.

Perfect the one job
Worked as expected. Perfect tightness as the threads siding strip and the rings didn't come loose after 15 rounds of 3" 12 gauge slugs. It 'breaks' when proper torque is reached. Shame it only has one use
