This is a very lightweight elastic - I'd compare it to the soft cord you find on disposable face masks. I was really hoping for something more durable and with better stretch, so it did not meet my needs. However, if you're buying elastic for single use, light-duty projects, this might be a good bet for you. You get a lot of it, so it ends up being a good value if it's what you need.

I have a mask that has a very small elastic that was contently cutting my ears when wearing it, so I needed to replace this.There is a lot of material in this spool, so that was great to know i had plenty spare to use on other project after I was done fixing my mask. However, may be I missed to check the dimension correctly, but I was a bit disappointed when discovering that this elastic was as thin as the one I already had on my mask. So, I was afraid it was going to be cutting the back on my ears as the other one was.Fortunately, the material is very soft and, after replacing the previous elastic by this one, my mask was much more comfortable to wear. This elastic was indeed soft at the touch, and comfortable to wear behind the ears for a long period of time too.

This elastic is very soft, so it is more comfortable to wear for extended periods of time than normal ribbon-style elastic. It is so thin, however, that I do not have confidence in its durability. So far, I have not had problems with it.

I am using it for ear-hooks on my masks. It's very stretchy and soft, so I double it up. Otherwise, it seems good.

I have been making masks since the pandemic began, first starting with any stretchy fabric I had on hand or could get my hands on for the ear straps including cut-up t-shirts, elastic, thin stretch cords, very thin string elastic and finally this soft elastic cord rope. It is the same or similar to what I had discovered on surgical masks. It is the most comfortable and easiest to work with. My husband hated having the straps behind his ears and advocated for them begin around his head, which I hated. Since I make masks for friends and family, I use the design in the picture that allows the user to decide whether they want behind the ears or head. I use a thin wire to pull the elastic cord through the adjustment washers. Can't go wrong with this purchase.

Got this for masks I make, love that it comes wound on a cardboard spool, most don’t and are awful to keep unraveling knotted up in a big messy heap, it seems a little flimsier than most I’ve had but I wound up liking it as much as it’s almost hard to feel you even have it on! And the stretch is as good. It’s a bit thinner and my cord locks I think would come off easier so I just knot the ends. So I’m pleased with.

This is awesome! With the pandemic I got into mask making so I would have plenty to use for work but then my family decided we would take a trip this year, so I took it upon myself to make all of us masks and I have got to say this elastic cord it great! It’s super soft but holds up really well with every day use. It hasn’t worn out like the other elastic on my masks has and it doesn’t hurt my ears when I’ve had the mask on for 8+ hours. Great value for the money. I’ve made a ton of masks and still have a lot of this left!

I am a little disappointed. I previously purchased this type of round elastic from another seller but its now unavailable from their shop. I was hoping to get the same quality. As another reviewer mentioned for this product, it could be because it was spooled, maybe at the wrong tension, and caused it to stretch. It does seem a little stretched out already, with very little bounce back. I attached photos to compare with some elastic I already have, which is what I wanted. The one I already have (bottom) is more rounded and cleaner looking, while this one is uneven from round to flat and not as much stretch. My previous elastic just came in a bag and I had to untangle it myself, but maybe thats the big difference here. I will return and try again. Also just noticed the stock photo shows a spool that is lightly spun, doesn't look tight...compared to my picture, showing its tightly wound.

Product is very good for face masks. However its price has gone up significantly since we bought the last batch
