Klipsch Reference R-610F 5.1 Home Theater Pack

This is the best surround sound speaker system I've ever owned. I've spent more in the past for much less. I'm running these through a Denon 5.2 reciever and the sound is spectacular not just on movies & TV, but on music as well. The subwoofer is awesome. Real seat-of-the-pants, explosive experience! If you're looking for high quality home theater on a budget, this is the way to go!

My background, former audio engineer, and then, QA tester for sound and video products at a very popular tech firm we all know. While I would have preferred the dual driver (and larger diameter) Klipsch speakers to get started in the wild world of home theater surround, this setup was great to get me going. Dual drivers would have been twice the price. In my case, it was so reasonably priced, I bought another pair of the towers because I needed them. The bookshelfs are just sitting around until maybe some later date. These could have more warmth in the mids, but do fine, and my ears are used to them now. The little 10" sub sounds great. For some movies I find the center's vocals are not as loud as I might like, but I can adjust that from the receiver. Knowing my background, do I feel compelled to sell the kit and buy the twice as expensive larger diameter dual driver setups with a 12" sub? Not yet, I have plenty of other bigger fish to fry.
