These are excellent hydrogel water crystals! I initially bought 1 lb to test after feeling disappointed by products I ordered from other sellers, and this is exactly what I needed, so I ordered it again. Considering this product is sold as a way to water crickets, I feel pretty lucky to have found it since I was initially looking for this stuff in the gardening section. It really is amazingly super absorbent. Just 4-5 oz can absorb up to 5 gallons of water and release it gradually into surrounding soil; perfect fix for keeping the soil moist in this raised planter I have that always seems to get bone dry no matter how much I water it!

I have a bearded dragon and keep feeder insects. One problem is supplying the feeders with water without them drowning them. This is a perfect solution. I put a quarter teaspoon of crystals in a cup of water and after about 30 minutes I had what looks like crushed ice. I keep the extra in the fridge and replenish it when needed. The crystals do not evaporate and keep the feeders healthy. Highly recommend if you keep feeders.

I put half a spoon into an old Fluckers Cricket Quencher 16 oz. jar that I filled with water. Completely filled the jar with gel for a fraction of the cost of Fluckers.Will definitely buy this again.

My insects love these; especially my crickets! This is ALOT for the money. I've used these for months and haven't even hit half the bag. Easy to use, pop a scoop or two in some water (Dechlorinated if tap water) and wait like 20 mins and BOOM, plenty of water for all your insects. Great product that does what it says it does!

The water polymer was accepted immediately by the meal worms and beetles. So far they are still alive and thriving.Have also used it when planting flowers that do not like drought.

Arrived early. In a zip loc type of bag. Exactly one pound. Tape was used to fold over the top of the bag. When I tried to open it the bag tore, so I had to put it in a secondary container. Product works good as soil amendment.

These water crystals are so awesome my dubia roaches and Madagascar roaches love them where's the money and you don't have to use that much to make a gallon so it lasts you quite a while
