If you are expecting this to be like the one you used to get when you were a kid then this is not the same. The taste is not as sour and tastes sweet.

I like the taste.

The taste is somewhat similar to chatar matar but I found that the sugar coating is a bit thick as compared to the goli and is too sweet. Just to be clear, I love sweet but even I find these golis too sweet.2022-07-10 - I shamelessly bought this for a SECOND time only to be very dissappointed and asked amazon for a Return, since the Returns policy didn't allow it, they gave me a refund.After I got the refund I decided to eat a few more and ended up with stomach grips the next day, could be a coincidence but I could dare to guess what caused the stomach ache.Since I bought two (as per the deal), I tried the other bottle. It was WORSE - hard and I just spat it out and flushed the contents of both bottles and threw the plastic bottles in the recycle bin.

I expected Chatar Matar of 90s, but this turned out really a disaster! The outer red cover doesn't melts easily, and tastes bad. Chatar Matar of my childhood was way awesome and I'm highly disappointed. My advice to people, please don't buy it if you are expecting the same 90s nostalgia. Thank you.

The product quality is not up to the mark. The original product had earlier was much more better and flavourful. Somewhere I am not convinced this is the original supplier of Chatar matar.
