Emergency use Duct Tape is essential
As everyone knows, you can't even begin to count the number of uses this tape potentially has when in a "make do" situation. I liked the size and weight of these two rolls for my survival bag. That part is excellent. The value part is tougher- 2" x 50" for 2 rolls (basically 8 feet) for $13 is on the high side but nobody would backpack carry a more economical normal full roll or partial roll so there's the answer. I'm pleased that it exists and I could add it to my very diversified backpack contents. No regret.

Very convenient
I got this product to have for emergency repairs while backpacking and to keep in an emergency bag in my car. Having duct tape available when you need to make an unexpected or temporary repair is invaluable. Some brand of duct tape seem to be stronger than others. Not sure what brand SOL uses for this item but it seems pretty good. It is not super thin like the cheap stuff but it doesn't seem to be as high quality as the best brands. I feel it is more than adequate for most tasks though. In the past I have just made my own small rolls from a full size roll. I seem to have gotten a little lazy as I get older. A full roll is a much better value but this product is much more convenient.Pros: convenienceCons: Price (vs. a full roll)

Many Uses for emergencies
I am an EMT and a CPR instructor, I bought this product to go with me on Ambulance calls in the same pocket as my gloves. I carry a roll for almost anything but specifically for hair removal for Codes with hairy chests (instead of wasting a set of electrode pads which cost up to $125 +). Great for securing a compression bandage in the field, also a tourniquet if one is not readily available since a person can bleed out within 2 minutes. Also great to rip off a 3" piece and put on your pants to document vitals if no paper is available! Not to mention all of the common uses of duct tape in the wilderness when hiking, camping, cycling.Great product and for the price it is much more practical than rolling my own small roll.

Functional, but if you want more than a few of these, make your own.
These are what they say - small rolls of duct tape. They have a thin plastic rod in the center so that they retain their nice round shape, even when packed. That said... If you're going to want more than a few of these (for emergency kits, the car, a hiking pack, etc...), you can make your own for a lot cheaper. Buy a roll of duct tape (50 yards for like $10), cut some off, and roll it around itself (sticky side on the inside - duh :p). If you want to get a nicer roll shape, buy a thin dowel, cut it to the width of the tape, and roll it around that. Or if you really want to do it up, buy something like a thin rod of PTFE (you can even get one on Amazon for under $10), which is the same stuff that Teflon is made of so things don't stick to it well, and wrap the tape around it. For less than $20, you could make like 18 of these rolls. Alternatively, with a thin sheet or film of PTFE, you could make flat "rolls" like these, which might be useful in some circumstances (like in my bike seat pack).

Duct tape is the multi-tool of the tape world. ...
Duct tape is the multi-tool of the tape world. I know from experience. I broke my wrist on a kayak trip where you couldn't just walk out to a road to get to the doctor. My friends improvised a splint out of a branch and duct tape. The emergency room doctors were impressed with the handiwork. I now keep a little roll of this in every survival or first aid kit I put together. And, yeah, it's probably cheaper to buy your own duct tape and roll it yourself or wrap it around something in your kit so that you have it when you need it. But this is inexpensive enough and wrapped so small that I think it is worth it. Duct tape - don't leave home without it.

A travel must-have
I've been purchasing travel duct tape for years, even once using it to make braces for the back of my guitar, which "exploded" from heat and humidity variances during a summer in China. Good for a quick hem or clothing issue, taking lint off of a dark garment, for securing a makeshift "just about anything" from an unexpected bandage or luggage malfunction. However, it's often hard-to-find from the larger stores. Excellent service and product with quick delivery from this vendor!

The perfect size
I love these. I bought it for my arts and crafts container and it fits perfectly in my container. Although, I feel like it is a little bit pricey for the amount of tape you get.

Good idea for your survival pack
Duct tape is so versatile and can be used in countless emergency, camping and survival situations. I keep a full size roll in my car but it is impractical to carry a full size roll in my bug out bag or camping backpack. This package contains two 50 foot rolls (2"x50' ea) in a compact size for easy transport.I wish the price was a little lower but the compact size makes these two rolls of duct tape worth it. Costoso ma utile
Nastro di tipo 'americano' super resistente confezionato con dimensioni molto ridotte e quindi adatto come corredo in un kit di emergenza. Ovviamente costa molto di più ma nel kit del pronto soccorso non è possibile inserire un rotolo di dimensioni normali. Questo tipo di nastro, in caso di necessità, si presta a molteplici utilizzi e le dimensioni del rotolino sono veramente compatte.

Plain 0ld Duct Tape
Overpriced for bog-standard duct tape, but the size may be handy for hiking, tool/tackle boxes etc..

Great for a Travel Kit
These are the perfect size for an emergency kit that you take with you either in the car or on hikes, or just to stick into a home kit. The nice thing about the size of these rolls is that if you needed to you could even stick one in your pocket and carry it with you without it being cumbersome or bulky at all. I'll probably buy a larger roll for a home kit and stick one or both of these in the car.

Not recommended.
It’s regular thin duct tape rolled onto a small plastic spool for portability. It is overpriced when compared to duct tape at any local hardware store. The packaging is great and it is a good idea to have strong tape in any survival kit. I do not recommend buying this product.

A Must for Every Backpacker
Great value, I was able to reduce about 50% with this kit over my previous kit. A must have for all trekkers.
