put this on my outdoor lights on one of the cables VERTICALLY. left it up during winter and rain and it's been a year and everything is still working so I guess the plug didn't get wet. no complaints.

Does what it should. Quality material, easy to use and good price. Opens and closes easily.

Only minor gripes: they're not huge inside so that bulkier plugs can be a tight squeeze, and the IP44 rating means they're splash-resistant, not fully submersible, keep that in mind for very exposed spots.

I use these outdoor plug covers to protect holiday light connections and extension cord joints from rain and damp weather. They are simple to use and give me more confidence that the connections are enclosed instead of sitting exposed on the ground. The four lockable latches hold securely, although the fit is snug and takes a little pressure to close around some cords. Once latched, the cover stays in place and keeps the connection tidy. Seems like good deal on ends for cables. Four corner locking tabs and large long hinge lock seem to contain the plug/outlet connection without any issue with room. Glued two standoffs on back and secured unit to vinyl siding. Easy to open and close, even after mounted. Needed 2, painted each one the color of the siding where it will be mounted.

It's an interesting product but the tabs on it are already starting to break and I haven't even used it yet. I'm keeping them but will be extremely careful when opening and closing the tabs.

They work perfectly and does take my outdoor blue cord. The second one I'm going to hang on the railing for the second set of lights. Also they're not hard to open and close.

This was the perfect addition to my heated bird bath this past winter. It was outside from November until April, not only did it survive the Ontario (GTA) winter, it also protected the cord when fully submerged in water after the thaw. We had enough snow over the winter that it was fully covered for weeks at a time. Getting a 2-pack, I figured if one failed I would have a back-up. I filled my bird bath almost every day (it evaporates when it gets colder), so I also kept checking the plug box for water inside ... never happened! I didn't need the 2nd one at all, in fact, the rubber ends are still like-new I would totally buy these again (if I every need to).

Received an open box with snow in it! Don’t know if I got a returned one or this is how ut was sent to me!? Used one of them for the exterior cord and appears to be working. Just disappointed with how I received it. Update: does a good job on protecting tye connected wires inside! The slim design is very nice. Great customer serving! Very responsive! The issue with delivery was not their fault!
