Great quality game. Very realistic with photos, news clippings, post it notes. Well written mystery. Fun way to spend the afternoon or evening with friends!

This is my second game from this company. It is a ton of fun. Everything you need is in the box. You can also get extra clues online if you are stumped. It took two of us about 3 hours with dinner break in the middle. I can't wait to try more of them.

We did this for a stay home date night ine night. We had a great time discussing all the clues and combing through all the interviews and reports. Affordable date night activity and a fun game to play.

Me and my wife don't have a lot of experience with mysteries outside of video games, and while we did have a lot of fun playing this for two to three hours, found it a bit too easy. Out of the five "people of interest", it was very obvious that only two actually mattered. Furthermore, hints were repeated multiple times in various pieces of evidence, so sometimes we'd stop to discuss a deduction we made only to have it said explicitely to us by another piece of evidence later. So it felt a bit like the game was doing the thinking for us. But overall, it was fun piecing everything together and figuring out whodunnit. The various pieces of evidence and documents are all themed appropriately and really made us feel like we're solving a cold case murder, it's just that I wish it was a bit more challanging. Also, since we didn't need to write or change anything about the product, we can regift it ourselves. So yeah.

This was bought as a gift for a crime show buff...the recipient turned out not to like the gift...watching the crime unfold in shows in far more different than sorting through the "evidence" yourself. Two other family members gave it a try and had a blast!! The files were loaded with "evidence" like police notes, glossy crime scene and suspect photos, building and town maps, medical examiners reports, interview logs, and more. It was really fun to read through the documents and articles and start to make your connections. Working as a team, it was fun to through ideas back and forth and build our "murder board". We laughed ALOT... while trying to come up with motives and time frames. Overall, the game took us about three hours. Online "hints" we're fun to refer to and even funny! I had researched LOTS of other similar games and they were priced starting at $30 or more, so finding this one, was great! Well worth the money compared to similar products, in my opinion. We bought two...can't wait to start the other! It is a one-and-done play game, but it seems like it would be easy to regift, or pass along to others, since it's mostly papers that you read though, in a "case file". Highly recommended!

So much fun!! My family and I absolutely love these mysteries! They are just challenging enough and perfect for a sleuthy group. Great alternative for board game.

I purchased this game to play with my family on vacation, a group of 6 adults and 2 kids (8 &12). I didn't really know what to expect, I'd seen these games and heard of the idea before, but no one really went into detail on how the game is played and I think I had unrealistic expectations. The whole game is reading a story, in many different formats. We spent about 3 hours, and 90% of that was just reading aloud the notes, crime reports, witness reports, and news articles. You are given a lot of information and it can be overwhelming, but it is helpful to make your decision. Honestly, we didn't actually start enjoying this until the last 30 minutes or so and still couldn't get everyone on the same page, so we just went with the majority guess. Honestly, I think we would have enjoyed playing other board games or watching a crime show/movie more, but you never know until you do right? The kids lost interest within the first 10 minutes, so I definitely wouldn't recommend for anyone young or who has trouble focusing. I think this would be better for 1 or 2 people, who know what they're getting into and are willing to take the time to read everything in depth. I do kind of wish there was a way you could get multiple potential endings/murderers, because now I just have this game I played once and I can't really play again, but maybe I'll gift it to someone else. Overall, the price wasn't bad and they did a great job of organizing valuable information in a realistic fashion - it just wasn't for me personally.

This is my very first murder mystery in a box. Bought this to have a game night with my friend. There was just the two of us and we read it out load, took notes and lot of breaks so it it took us about 4 hours (we were in no rush at all). The clues are good without being patronizing. The websites for extra clues and the solution and epilogue are good. I really like the quality of the evidence and the story line makes sense. I put it back together neatly and my kids and parents will play it next as you do not have to destroy anything (but things can be reprinted if needed). I would recommend this to anyone and I am excited to play more from this creator!

I loved it!! I had so much fun with my siblings (the youngest is 11) we spent hours solving it we are definitely going to buy more!!

I like murder mystery investigation games like this so this is the 3rd brand I am giving a shot (the other two being Hunt A Killer and Unsolved Case Files). Although I have yet to give this a play through, I thought I’d give a quick overview feedback - packaging is as good as the other two brands if not better. The material inside feels and looks well made as well. Only thing is I’d hope the creators include an inventory list of all the items that should be in the box so ‘investigators’ can check to make sure there is no missing ‘evidence’. Price wise, this definitely beats the other two brands but I’d need to have played the entire game before I could say if what the other two brands lose in terms of price point they make up in quality.

Linear case, not well designed, no additional envelopes, solved within 2 hours by 2 people and it was boring

A good mystery game good for those who lost to solve mysteries and lots of information and clues and it’s really good mind game too.. my daughter loved it as her birthday gift.
