Nice lights, a few drawbacks
Likes:- Very easy to adhere, the 3M tape is very sticky and can mould to tight corners- Set up via the app is quick, however can only be done on a router that separates it's bands out for 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz- Colours at 100% brightness are bold- App has different modes which are fun to play with- Works really well with Google Assistant (for colour, brightness, on/off)Dislikes:- Doesn't come supplied with a power adapter, it is only a USB connection and the amount of cable between the lightstrip itself and the USB is short, about 25cm's, unless you have a USB socket nearby or a 3 pin adapter and socket nearby or other USB power outlet you will need an extension cable- Unless you use blue, green or red then the colours inbetween are a bit tricky to get right, especially if you have the strip right next to a wall, for example of you try to get a yellow/amber colour then the green part of the led over compensates so you see green more prominent on the wall. However if you move the strip away from a surface, say 5-10cms then it's fine.- Brightness is limited- Saturation drops off massively, so at 100% it's fine, at 80% it takes off some colour as you'd expect but at 50% then it's effectively white then anything less that 50% it goes blue, presumably because the native colour of the lights is cool blue

Disco
OK, these were a slight disappointment for what I actually wanted them for (I have a Philips ambilite TV, youngest wanted similar) and to that they disappointed me as they do not follow the on screen action, however in fairness that's probably my fault, as for what they are, they are good at, very easy to connect to the WiFi via the app, Google assistance integration isn't good, however the ap for it and amazon are both very good, they respond to voice commands well once set up, feel good quality, poor box as usual tbh, but genuine 3m tape on rear, nice and bright let, easy to split and rejoin.Their function now is a kitchen disco, as they follow the beat of the music brilliantly. That alone would get 5 stars.

Beats the more expensive brands Hands down!!!
For the low price of £12 these lights are amazing.I compared them to a more expensive brand “Govee” that cost £19 and I can sure say my experience with the two sets... these £12 light a million miles above the rest. These lights were so simple and easy to set up. I’m not one for wanting millions of apps for each product and the fact that these lights connect under the “SmartLife” was great.Had the lights stuck down in a matter of minutes and connected just as fast.Connected upto Alexa straight away and the response time is mili seconds from when given a command. This experience compared to the more expensive brands was a millions times better and so much easier. So much so I’ve brought a second set already 🤣

Fiddly to fit, but excellent for the price.
A little bit fiddly to install, but even so, only took about 30 minutes. Look great, and seem to work flawlessly with Alexa for turning on and off and changing colour, and you do get a lot more control with the app.The corners didn’t bend very well, and the strip does distend when you bend it, but that doesn’t seem to make any difference to the quality of the light and you can’t tell once the TV is back in place.I struggled a bit with the adhesion until I realised there was a very thin paper over the sticky bit, and I was peeling the whole tape off the strip instead of just peeling the lining paper off the tape. After that it was plain sailing and seems to have stuck quite well.It took four attempts before the initial connection to WiFi worked, and I don’t know if I did something different the fourth time, but it was a relief when it connected. The reason I’ve given this five stars despite all the fiddling about is that they look and work really well, and they’re amazingly good value for this price. Obviously durability is a question of time, but so far, I’m very happy with them.Edit: I’ve since bought another set to use as concealed lighting behind furniture. Again, took a few attempts to connect but worked flawlessly once the app found the lights. I wasn’t sure if they had to be plugged into a TV to work, but these work fine just plugged straight into a mains adapter.

Brilliant LED strip.
For the price point is is great value. They stick very well, so well you have to make sure that you get the positioning right as I stuck some you my daughters wall and in trying to lift it a little in one point it took the paint off the wall. These like a lot of Smart connect using the Smart Life app and I had no problem connecting them to my network though I have found some devices are easier to connect using the AP mode as you connect to the devices signal and connect them to your network that way. If you use voice command with these lights the voice assistant can't get shades of light or use scenes like you can get in the smart life app. It only has the coloured LED and not a white LED so the white has a hue of colour to it but this is a cheaper LED stripe that most of the 4 colour stripes. I've been so impressed with these that I have bought 3 sets altogether and am thinking about getting more.
