Follow the instructions and it's gold!
I've only had this thing for about 24 hours, but I had to go ahead and write a review for it, because it's amazing! It's supposed to take a few days to fully expand, but it's already huge. To give you an idea of how big it is, I'm attaching photos -- one for size reference, which as you can see, it's as big as my couch. I measured it the best I could, since it's round/cylindrical, and it's almost 6 feet long (maybe around 5'11ish) by a little over 4 feet wide, by 2'5" tall.A few reviews claim that it's not as fluffy as the picture -- well, they must not have read the instructions, because (as you can see) it's definitely fluffy enough! The box it arrives in is about 3 square feet (I can't give exact measurements, since it bulges a little bit, but it fit through my front door with about an inch or two to spare). When you cut the ties, the box pretty much opens itself. Just dump the chair out -- it weighs 60 pounds, so that might be a challenge for some. Once it's out of the box, the fun starts. Stretch it out, flip it a few times, shake it, punch it, kick it, jump on it -- whatever you can do to separate the foam inside. My guess is the people who complained about this product skipped that step. It's compressed in a small box, so naturally the foam is all stuck together, which is why you absolutely HAVE to separate the foam, otherwise it won't expand.Other reviews have complained about what the foam inside of it looks like. Did I open mine up to check? No. Why? Because who cares what the inside looks like?! As long as it serves its purpose, it doesn't matter. Form follows function, right? (or should I say, FOAM follows function!) And this thing definitely serves its function. It's super comfortable, whether sitting or laying on it (I'm using it as a bed now -- slept like a baby last night). In the picture, it looks a little wrinkly/lumpy -- that's because it hasn't finished expanding and it was wrinkled up from being crammed in that small box. When sitting/laying on it, it doesn't really feel lumpy. You do notice the chunks of foam inside a little bit, but it's not like they're poking you or anything -- they're foam, not wood after all. It's comfy, trust me!Overall, as if you couldn't tell from my review, I would definitely recommend this if you're looking for a giant fluffy cloud to sit/sleep on! Forewarning though: the prices fluctuate on these a lot, so just keep an eye on them and buy when it's at a low price. I suggest using a site like The Tracktor to see a history of past pricing and get an e-mail report if the price changes. (Note: at the time of this review, this Fuf is still a reasonable price)

Great Customer Service Experience and My Impression After About a Year of Use.
I bought this about a year ago, and have since bought the 6ft version as well. This is my impression of the 4ft bag. There is one "downside" to this product and that is that you have to wait about two weeks before it's reaches it's full potential. If you have trouble waiting for things before making a judgement about them... then you may not be as pleased with the product. If you baby it and keep "fuffing" it every few (waking) hours for the first day then it will expand in 24-36 hours to it's max size and be ready to use. If you don't want the trouble you can "fuf" it just a few times and it'll reach it's full size in about a week. The reason I say two weeks before it's really usable is because of the strong chemical odor which takes about 2 weeks to air out and go away. There were no other downsides for the rest of my time using it.After that initial waiting period however... this thing is frickin' awesome. It's very comfortable as a chair or for lounging. You can position it to be comfortable in any position. Want you head higher than your feet? Vice versa? Relax on your side? Sit up like a chair? Pregnant? Whatever your fancy you can easily shape this to match. When you get up just rotate it by 90 degrees and by the next time you sit down it'll be fully fluffed again. At one point I did notice a seam had ripped. I sent an email to info@comfortresearch at 7AM in the morning and received a response from a real person in under an hour asking for a minimal amount of information. After sending it back I got a reply 10 minutes later letting me know they were putting a new one in the mail the next day - free of charge! They were very easy to work with.Great product at a great price.

Great cozy chair...buy with confidence!!!
I ordered this product based on its description. Thankfully, I did not read the few negative reviews first. I read all the negative reviews while waiting for the product to be arrive and I was a bit worried. It want to set the record straight...although, of course, this is just my opinion. For those that complain that his or her butt is on the ground or the XL Fuf is flat and provides no back support...I have to wonder...did they let it fully expand? If you see a posted picture and the product has fabric that is sagging anywhere in the picture...that is because it has been photographed before it fully expands. If it is pictured as being flat, that is because because the person has not fluffed it up. If one complains that it provides no back support, most likely that person can not figure out how to sit in such a way so as to support the back. Mine provides perfect back support. When it gets flat or out of shape, I simply refluff it.The "sharp" foam bits are not sharp. They don't poke you in the back or the rump after the product fully expands. It takes several days to fully expand so patience goes a long way.Yes, it smells at first. I brought it outside during the day for the first 2 days and the smell was barely noticeable after 3rd day.I especially enjoyed reading the review of the person that said the 6 foot XL Fuf was horrible and huge...so big that he can't move it, can't send it back, can't give it away, or even lug it to the street for the garbage. That review is what I would consider to be made by a dramatic person that never seems to be pleased...the complaints are ridiculously exaggerated to the point of being funny. It's just not true. I am a 5'3" female with a prior shoulder and neck injury, with a hip issue, and a healing torn thigh muscle. I have a small frame and I weight 117 pounds. I can move it by myself. I roll it on to a sheet and pull it around...even out the door...which I did several times while airing it out...As for the fabic. It is not too thin. I drag this thing around and flip it. It is sturdy enough. So far it has held up given the abuse of my 3 cats, of my 2 XL dogs, and of the ones with most destructive potential...my son and his friends (diving on it, etc.)As for the seams, no problem. The is no reason to even grab in that area. So, I'm not sure why others have a problem with that...I leave this review hoping that someone that reads those negative reviews..and really wants to get the product...but becomes discouraged...will consider the number of stars rather than the reviews of the complainers. Who knows...maybe the product has been improved...but then again maybe there was never anything fundamentally wrong with the complainer's chair in the first place.I use my XL Fuf to cozy up I front of the fireplace and read a book. It is perfect. I ordered the black one.

Look somewhere else...
Whatever you see in pictures or videos from big joe ain't what's in the box. It's flat af even after a week.I wish I had opened it before the end of the return period. I've added a good 5-6lbs of foam and it's still nothing like the pictures. Sure it's big but as soon as there's a bit of weight it flattens out. It's pretty much like sitting on the floor with a pillow. With the extra foam it's a 250$ cat bed. At least my cat will enjoy it.
