Some movable "play," but not so much to thwart usability
Shipping was fast! Immediately after receiving the mount, I installed it on my Trek FX hybrid. Installation was less than 5 minutes; more time was spent on deciding where to install than on actually installing it. The zip ties make installation permanent, so be sure you have firmly decided on a location before you intall. Mounting slots allow the user to lock the zip ties in either the horizontal or vertical orientation; meaning, you can fasten the zip ties through side slots "horizontally" around the neck/stem, or through front/back slots "vertically" around the handlebars. The mount is NOT immovable, and as one reviewer explained, that is just nature of the zip ties. Expect some movable "play" once your GPS is mounted. In fact, there are times when you will welcome movability of your GPS such as on hilly terrain, featuring high elevation grades, ascending or descending. Just know that if you install the mounts using the horizontal slots, movability will be from side to side, not forwards and backwards. The zip ties hold onto your bike tight enough such that the movability is minor and does not thwart the usable purpose of the mount. As far as performance goes, I have to say that the mount works great! I was initially concerned about the "movability" issue, and whether or not riding turbulence over long distances would cause the mount to work itself too loose to be effective. Well, I am currently training for a century (100+ miles on bike), and I have taken the mount on extended rides several times, 25 miles or better. In fact, I completed a 60-miler with it several days ago. Up to this point, movability is not an issue, not even in light rain; the zip tie hold is still tight. I use a Colorado 400t, which is considerably larger and heavier than the Oregon GPSs. I sincerely believe that I will have no problems with the movability of this mount during my century ride. How durable this mount is, however, remains to be seen, but so far its a 5-star value.

Perfect fit!
Worked perfectly for my Colorado 300. Used supplied zip ties and used pliers to ratchet them tight. Mount is secure and GPS unit does not move unless using excessive force.Dependent on well the zip ties hold up, I may use stainless steel lacing wire to hold the mount on. Using lacing wire pliers will allow the mount to be pulled tight.

it has a nice finger pull at the end of it to assist ...
It's an inexpensive, effective and simple design. I think people complaining about it shifting are not tightening enough. I tightened it down effectively using a pair of pliers. It came with two extra ties too. I did not give it 5 stars because I did feel the need to take the advice of another person and put some backing behind it (in my case, duct tape). It should have come with a little something to buffer underneath it to help both the fit and limit potential for slipping. Lastly, while it can take a little energy to get the Garmin off, it has a nice finger pull at the end of it to assist with that. It is reasonable to both get on and off. I have done like 20 miles of hard mountain bike trails with it. It does not slip. It does not come loose. It just sits there doing what it should. My Garmin is an eTrex. It is meant for that series as well.

Works great with my eTrex 20 on my bike's stem
Put this on my bike's stem so I can use my eTrex 20 as a bike computer and ride recorder on my daily bike commute and weekend rides, and eventually as a navigational aid for bike rides/tours into uncharted territory. It works great for that. The interface with the stem/handlebars on the bottom of the mount is a nice rubbery piece that helps it to grip nicely and not move around, especially when the zip ties are cinched down good and tight. Hold the GPS nice and tight, even on bumpier roads. The only thing I haven't had a chance to test yet is if I can get a USB cable to plug into my eTrex with it on the stem, something I want to try out as I hope to build up a front wheel with dynamo hub and run the GPS using power from the hub. Whenever I do try to do that, I'll try to remember to post an update to this review.

Stem only
This Bike Mount is simple, inexpensive and effective, but I could only figure out how to mount it on the stem, not on the handlebars. This is a good position, since it saves space and makes viewing easy. It looks as though it is meant to mount on the handlebars, but securing it would not be easy. To mount on a different bike, you'll have to cut the tie (wire) wraps that hold the mount in place. But they are very cheap and readily available, so this shouldn't be a problem.

A Perfect Addition to the Garmin Colorado
I use my Garmin Colorado 400t mostly for geocaching. I use my bike mostly to stay in shape. With this bike mount kit I can now do both at the same time! Also, having a GPS on my handlebars is very convenient for when I am riding in unfamiliar territory and get a little turned around (O-K, lost). The kit come with four plastic zip-lock ties, but you only need two and the others are spares. It was not as tight as I wanted it to be when I used only my fingers to tighten the straps so I used a pair of pliers to grab onto the strap and make it nice and snug. I then cut off the part of the straps sticking out in order to make it look nice.Although it looks a little big on the handlebars (see my photos above under "customer's images") it actually is very practical to use and when I take it off I really don't even notice the mount. The screen is O-K in bright light, but when it's really overcast I turn on the GPS's backlight. If you have a Colorado unit and want to take it with you when biking, I would certainly recommend this gadget.Garmin Colorado 400t Handheld GPS Unit with US Topographic Preloaded Maps

Works Great!
I use it for my Etrex 22x, Installation couldn't be more simple, stays in place during rough atv rides. Also works with etrex models which are not mentioned in the product description. I actually got that info from a different site before buying this from Amazon, no regrets works great.

100% Original Garmin
The media could not be loaded.
