Filtered Shower Head with Handheld, High Pressure, for Hard Water

So I was on facebook and saw a stone stream shower head ad. It looked awesome with the spinning rocks and blasting the shower head back when the water came on. So I went to their website and it was like $25 for the basic model and $5 more for the 3 function model. Decided to see if they were selling them on Amazon and this one popped up. I don't think its a Stone Stream brand shower head, not that the brand means anything to me, but they look identical. And was 1/3rd the price. I went through reading some of the reveiws and seemed like an overall positive experience. Bought it and two days later had it. The pictures on amazon made me wonder if the beads would come pre installed or not. They do, however the anti scale rubber thing is not installed, and there are no instructions that explain what to do with it. It's pretty simple though you unscrew the chrome retainer and stick the rubber in behind it. I decided to leave it out for now, although I do have hard water so I might need to use it. The shower head looks really nice installed.They include a normal size roll of Teflon tape, they are not stingy at all! So if you have some other plumbing projects like you need to repipe your whole house they include enough to do that. The showerhead is plastic but the brown rocks and chrome bezels give it a luxury look to it. It's not premium materials but when you look at it, it seems premium. It's very nice. I have pretty decent water pressure so that wasn't really an issue for me. Yes the pressure is a bit higher but the holes are smaller so pressure goes up and volume goes down, much like sticking your thumb over a garden hose. It is interesting though when you shower with it, because the water is so fine it gives it an airy feel. Almost like standing next to a waterfall, you get that blast of air and mist. There's plenty of water to shower with, and I do enjoy the airy sensation around my head. It's weird and pleasant. The real test is my wife, she has long thick hair. She said she was worried it wouldn't be enough to wash with but that it worked surprisingly well. Happy wife, happy life. She's picky and it passed the test. As a bonus my 7 year old son also said it was amazing. One thing to note, the rocks don't spin around like the video I saw, they do bounce and dance at the bottom though. After watching other videos of the stone stream it seems in real life the stones don't spin around either. it has 3 settings, wide spray on the outside, stronger focused spray in the middle and both sprays at the same time (my prefered setting) So that's it, only used it for a few showers thus far but I really like it. 1 month update 6/2/18: Still love it! it did start getting slightly clogged from our hard water, it made the water feel like little needles. I removed the chrome ring and the strainer and soaked over night in vinegar, problem solved back to my windy waterfall. I did test the hard water adapter, it has to be installed instead of the metal looking strainer, the flow from it is like a regular showerhead. 3 month update 8/8/18: Still amazing. Every 2-3 weeks I soak it over night in vinegar. I stopped taking it apart and just plop the front in a plastic bowl with white converter. Shower head is holding up well, still looks new. Highly recommend this shower head.

absolutely awesome! exactly as described, efficient on water usage as advertised, water pressure is much higher, also just as advertised & the quality of the water itself is 200% better if not higher, also just as advertised... probably my best purchase/acquisition of 2023... the other member of our household is my Pop & I purchased it, installed it & tested it (all without his knowledge, hopefully as a welcomed surprise)... I made sure he would be the first one to test & (hopefully) thoroughly enjoy the spa-like shower experience... after he got out of that first shower & got dressed, he came out into the hallway where I happened to be at the time... he had a look on his face I honestly don't think I've ever seen in 40 years of being on the earth... he said no words - he just had that look on his face, almost like a badge of honor or an embodiment of pride, gratitude & honest, childlike surprise... maybe 20 or 30 seconds later, he just simply said, "wow!" & raised his right hand, shaking a 'thumbs-up' that look remained on his face, he simply said, "wow, wow, wow!" & then gave me a big hug, a unique one, too & then said, "thank you so much, Jude! what a great find! that was like being at a very special spa! I can't wait to use it again tomorrow night!" I'm not one to idly promise most things to others, so I'll simply say, I hope others out there have their own special spa-like experience with the addition of this shower head to their household

There is a lot to like about this shower head, and yet there are a few minor issues I have with it as well. I'm giving it 4 stars simply because it effectively solved the biggest issue I had which was increasing the pressure of my water. However, it wasn't necessarily due to my water pressure being low, this is where I want to knock myself upside the head for not knowing beforehand. As mentioned, I purchased this to solve my pressure issues, turns out that I had a rubber reducer in the base of my outlet pipe that I had no idea was there (most likely installed by the previous owner). Removing the old pipe for the new I noticed a substantial increase in pressure, so much so that it actually stung on the Jetting spray pattern. To solve this I set it to the rainfall spray pattern, but this introduced a new issue. We began running out of hot water much sooner than before. Another thing to note is that we tended to increase the temperature hotter than usual because given the super small streams of water from each hole that the water cooled down quite a bit before it hit you. Realizing that there was a reducer, I installed it back in the new pipe and that made a significant difference in longevity of hot water, with a moderate impact to pressure. It no longer stings but it has effectively increased the pressure compared to the standard head we were using. In the end I am satisfied with my purchase, it's possible that I'm feeling the difference in my hair and skin but that could also be a placebo affect. I don't feel like I am getting anything different than an off the shelf brand at those big box stores. It's cool to look at and I have to imagine it's doing something fancy to my water, it's just hard to say. I do have to admit that having a shower head that is also handheld and movable has been pretty convenient. I don't know that I'd buy it again but it was a good price so it could be a relatively cheap replacement if needed.

The water pressure in the showerhead is phenomenal. Everyone loved taking showers in my bathroom because of the showerhead. It was worth the buy.

Originally I was very happy but poor craftsmanship and cheap materials has led me to edit my review. It’s made of plastic and now has problems staying in place and leaks very badly. I had to uninstall it and replace with my old shower head because it leaked so badly. Tried replacing the gasket and using thread tape but still leaked. Spend a little more for a quality product. I needed to replace a leaky shower head in my guest bathroom. I decided to try this unit because it advertised that it provided high pressure while also saving water. Also I don’t have a water softener so the filter stones sounded like a nice bonus. It was easy to install which was nice, but when I turned it on to check for leaks is when I was really impressed. This shower head has way more pressure then the previous one. I was stunned to see it actually worked as advertised. You can spray across the bathroom easily or face it up and you will wash the ceiling. Even though the pressure is great, to make it even better is that the water feels soft when it hits you. I expected it to almost be uncomfortable because of the pressure but instead it is gentle on the skin. Already I was happy with my purchase, so much so that I swapped it out with my master bathroom shower so I could use it daily. The best part of the shower head isn’t the water pressure, or the gentleness on the skin. In fact the best part was something I didn’t even really consider when purchasing, and that’s the filter stones. I use to hate the feeling that the hard water left in my hair and on my skin, even worse was my eyes always felt dry and irritated after getting water in them as I showered. However with the filter stones I’ve noticed a big difference in the way I feel after the shower. My hair and skin feels softer then ever and my eyes don’t get irritated like before. I love the new shower head and plan on purchasing another one for the guest bathroom. Definitely money well spent.

Huge difference in my skin and hair. Especially with Florida water.

Bought in February and already broken (beginning of July). I love the strength of this shower head, but they always break after about 4-6 months. The silver screw part breaks and causes a huge leak and water sprays all over. If this was better I would give 5 starts.

What I received has no filter beads .And modes are not adjustable.Totally different than what they described .It’s waste of money.

After watching the adds and reading the reviews, I thought of purchasing this item assuming it was gonna blow my mind.. Quite the opposite happened, I was underwhelmed to be honest, I got the shower head and some items with no description about anything. There's a tape, a piece that looks like a shower piece with no explanation about where it goes. I connected the shower head to the pipe in the shower and the balls didn't spin, they just stayed still and water started leaking from the side of the shower head. water does spray out and not bad pressure but not like how it was shown in the add.. I'm planning on experimenting with it hoping i'll figure it out, but I have a feeling its a dead end. Honestly thanks for making me wait for a month for a mediocre shower head.

I've purchased two different shower heads from the hardware store before in hopes to get high water pressure and none of them worked well. But this Luxsego shower head really works! I love the high water pressure it produces and the double water filter system is a great added bonus. Highly recommend it and reasonably priced. Very happy!
