Great Improvement for gravy makers!
I bought and used this for Thanksgiving gravy and was fabulous. I have always struggled with the standard fat separator - as soon as I would tip the cup to pour out the drippings, the fat would mix back in. Was it just me? Anyway, this very-well-designed and simple to use upgrade keeps them separate, since you pour from a clever mechanism at the bottom. . Kudos to the designer. I just love it!

Clever design and easy to use. Some concern about longevity
This design is a whole lot better than the previous device I was using. That one poured similar to a watering can for separation. This design is so much simpler and effect. The only concern I have is with how the trigger and plunger mechanism are plastic. They look/feel like they could break easily.

bought 1 and lasted 3-4 uses, then the red arm that lowers the plunger broke. bought another and it leaked at the bottom around the drain hole on the first use, second use it cracked and leaked out the side.

Great tool for the kitchen
Made a gravy that had a lot of grease floating to the top. Poured the gravy into the separator and it worked flawlessly. Amazing tool that will enhance all my broths and gravies for a long time to come.
