must be gentle on your pups, do not push down like a ball tipped brush as these points are more pointy.

I tell you this product just blew Me away...!! I have one fur daughter her coat is thick & she really hates to be brushed while the other, whom is 10yrs of age, loves being brushed. How could you ask for any better that at a press of a button the bristles retract & there's all the fur you just wipe off push the button & the metal bristles are ready for more...!!!! You can restore brushed cotton fleece sweats with this brush
I do not have a pet, but I do have lots of sweat pants that recently became pill-y and scratchy on the inside. I read online that slicker brushes can be used to restore shearling, so I thought I'd try it on my pants. With just a few strokes, the fleece became so soft again. The picture shows one side brushed, the other not. The self-cleaning feature is great for getting rid of the fuzz that the brush collects. I'm incredibly excited that I don't have to replace any of my pants.

First one I got in 2021 was 5+ stars, but this one from a month ago is falling apart with light use
In March 2021 after having a medical foster dog in the pandemic that became mine after a year, I bought a BRILLIRARE Self-Cleaning Slicker Brush to have as a second brush to my professional groomers version (hear $$$$$$). The first of these still gets a 5+ stars and that one is used every day.February 1, 2022 I bought a second BRILLIRARE Self-Cleaning Slicker Brush to put in the dog's day bag for outings. It is the least used of the three brushes I have.This BRILLIRARE Self-Cleaning Slicker Brush is falling apart. The stainless steel teeth do not fully retract and though I noticed it, it wasn't terrible at first. Now the bottom teeth protrude even when the brush is fully retracted making it difficult to clean the fur out of the teeth. Remember, this brush is the least used as it is a weekend brush for getting grass and debris off her before getting back in the car rather than the daily full brushing she gets.Yuki is a Great Pyrenees, with some Anatolian Shepherd in her, and we live in Florida. So you can imagine full brushing is at least a one time but often two time a day effort. I use mostly the groomers version of this brush (hear $$$$$$) for that but also the first of the two of these brushes every day on her. The first of these brushes works perfectly. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a way to communicate with the seller on this brush that is a month old so I have to leave this review. Hopefully, they will reach out and make this right.

Brush is too big for small dogs under 5 lbs.
Easy to wipe off the hair. My pup doest have fur, she has a hair coar, she doesn't really shed, but her hair gets a little tangled. My main gripe it's too big. She is 4 months, maybe 2lbs if that, it's harder to angle the brush and give her a proper grooming, as the brush is half the size of her body in length and bigger than her back in with. Wish they had a smaller brush for small yorkies.
