The media could not be loaded.  The color was confusing to me, but I do understand why they called it gold because the angle changes the color since it is slightly reflective. I would call it gunmetal grey, with the light reflection from top a gold sheen and from side it looks silver. Attaching lots of pictures so you can see the effect. My table is a dark brown/black. The chairs are light grey, and the runner has gold lines that help you see the placemats are not really any of those colors. It might be considered a bronze under direct light.Love the woven look but still 100% waterproof. The size is generous and can easily fit 10 inch plate, silverware, cup, etc.The smell is distracting, thats the only drawback I see for right now!

The chemical smell is so intense. I tried few days to air them out...not working. Can't imagine eating off of these. If that doesn't bother you, style is nice but I ordered black and it's more bronze than black, I definitely wouldn't call it black. 2 stars for thickness, design. Returning them.Updated Review: I aired these out for a while and the smell is gone! I was very happy with everything about them just not the smell. I am now happy with this purchase.

These are great placemats. They look like the expensive woven Chilewich mats they sell at gift stores and fancy kitchen stores for $15 a piece. Unlike those, these mats are easy to clean, reversible, totally spill proof and protect the table underneath. No fear of finding a food stain or water mark later on. I only wish they sent more matching coasters with the set. I’m going to buy more.

It is a thick durable heat resistant mat.. however it is not stain resistant. Most mats you are able to wipe up stains. Coffee stains and juice stain stuck to these mats. If this was better these are nice placemats.

That smell straight out of the packaging is no joke. I think there is still a lingering smell even after a few weeks. That said, they are easy to wipe down and stay put. Silvery grey with a woven pattern is nice for blending in but not being totally boring.

We updated our kitchen and bought a smaller table 36 by 36 inches. These placements fit for 3 or 4 people. Super easy to clean.

Nice, neutral color and pattern. The smell was so toxic right out of the package. Smell bad like rubber. I ended up return the item.

They did everything they said they would do besides the sliding part. The slide on my wood table. Not happy about that part.

Very well made, heat resistant, very easy to clean and even red sauce comes off easily, just a quick wipe with a soapy cloth. Very good product and recommend it.

Really like these, they look good, easy to clean and keep their shape. Originally thought they were a bit pricey but having used them they are well worth the money.

La funcionalidad de los salvamanteles es correcta. Se adhieren bien a la superficie de la mesa (en mi caso es de silestone), los líquidos no traspasan el salvamanteles y se limpian bien con un paño húmedo. El gran fallo es que todos los salvamanteles (los 6) vienen con defectos estéticos superficiales, es decir, vienen con tara y todos tienen alguna mancha negra o franjas decoloradas con diferentes tonalidades de color. Lo que se observa en las fotos no son sombras, son los salvamanteles tal y como me han venido. No los devuelvo por la pereza que me da tener que gestionar la devolución y, como yo los quería para usar a diario los 4 que somos en casa, ya me valen aunque tengan tara. Impensable ponerlos en la mesa si tienes invitados. Ni repetiría su compra ni los recomiendo.
