Coleman Tabletop 2-in-1 Camping Grill/Stove, 2-Burner Propane Grill & Stove with Adjustable Burners & 20,000 BTUs of Power

I bought this last summer because I was going to a campsite that did not allow fire grills. It worked perfectly. I had it up and running in minutes and was able to cook quite a bit of food. It is light weight, and easy to carry (I recommend buying a carry bag for it as well). easy to operate and having two burners really help. Would be nice to have a built in lighter, but it is ok., just make sure you have a lighter or match with you Also , to keep the unit clean, i recommend using foils to cover the base and the surrounding plates. or keep it clean with a wet towel after each use. I will definitely keep this handy in my future camping trips. You can even use this for cooking if you have space constraint in your kitchen.

I’m temporarily living in a condo while I renovate a home I will move in to. I like grilled foods - steaks, burgers and especially vegetables. The smoke created means grilling on the cooktop in the kitchen is out, but I couldn’t justify lugging a big, full size gas grill through to my condo-sized patio. I decided to give this one a go and for one or two people, it’s great! It gets plenty hot and mine has a good range of control from blazing to a low simmer. (I was using it in a protected area with no wind.) The grill is definitely non-stick - must be careful not to chase the food right off the edge. As for the aluminum grill that I see has problems in some reviews, I don’t think it was designed for sustained high heat below a pan or griddle. For grilling, it is fine, but I did find a cast iron duplicate grill grate right here on Amazon ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CY84JRQ9?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details ) which will definitely work if you want to put a big pot or griddle over the grill side. I bought an 10.5 inch Lodge brand grill pan (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0000CF66W?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details )which fits just right also and is great for searing vegetables which would fall through the grill. Lodge also makes a 10.5 inch square skillet which would work perfectly as a griddle or fry pan. (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00063RWXE?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details )I will use the cast iron grate if using any pan over the grill side. The lightweight aluminum cooks steaks or burgers perfectly, but cast iron will hold up for more sustained heat. Overall, I can’t find anything to complain about with this little camp stove/grill combo. Everything worked as it should and I’ll be taking it for a tailgating trip very soon.

I have not been paid or been given anything to write this review, this comes from me! I wanted to let all who read this know that if you have not used or owned any of the Coleman line cooking products, you are missing out. I have used their products since I was a little boy hunting and fishing with my father and grandfather. I bought this style while living in CO. and have used it in more places than I can mention, camping just below tree line at tree line (13000 ft.) while elk hunting, fishing the Flaming Gorge in Utah, riding through the desert jeep trails of Moab, taking it on my raft for week or more long floats down the CO river starting at Pump House, camping in Yellowstone and even cooking in site view of Mt Rushmore. I took this thing around the country many times. It will keep working through snow storms, light rain falls, (you won’t be grilling in a down pour!) pretty much anything nature has to throw at it. It has been flipped, kicked, submerged, ETC… I literally abused it for years. We have now moved to HI and left most of my gear in storage. I had to purchase this again so we can BBQ on the Black Sand Beach in Hana, and when taking my son hunting on Lanai for axis deer, so we can cook the strap and he can get the real taste for freshly grilled meat. We just used it to make breakfast up on Haleakala watching the sunrise a couple of days ago. This is also the perfect thing to have for emergencies, we all know they happen, form power outages, hurricanes, blizzards, and many other natural disasters. Shipping was on point, living on Maui that is not always the case. The site said a day and between certain times. It was at my front door exactly as promised! When taking it out of the box it is as shiny as a brand new car. Now, I am a father, a chef, and a more than average outdoorsman, so cooking and participating in all outdoor activities with my family is a very big part of my life as you may be able to tell in reading this. If you can’t count on your gear when you are out miles away from anything and anyone, you are up the creek without a paddle per say. Having this item and knowing the Coleman line, I can honestly say that I do not worry about it what so ever! Do yourself a favor, if you like the outdoors and are out as much as we are and you like to cook your catch the way that it should be, then buy this. Thank you Coleman for making your products reliable and something that I can trust always working!

Solid cook stove, better than the portable butane stove that it replaced. I can use it for 40 minutes a day on medium/low heat and get 9 days out of a propane cannister. I only gave it 4 stars because it could be better. 1. As others have pointed out, the entire stove gets hot when cooking. The silver part is untouchable after a couple minutes while the black gets hot after a longer time- like when you are cooking rice. I usually leave one of the side panels down since they keep me from using a decent frying pan. I can only imagine how hot that would get if vertical. 2. There is no positive lock no the gas controls. This means that you twist to turn it off, but there is nothing to keep the knobs from getting bumped when it's off and letting out the gas. This is important if you are clumsy (like me) or if you have kids running around. This is a standard feature on home gas stoves, not sure why this doesn't have it. 3. The burners are like jet engines on full. I'm not sure what you are cooking but unless you're roasting hot dogs over the open flame it's just way too much heat. If the burner was smaller then you would have a much more efficient level of heat. I have barely taken it over 1/3 of the control and it's done everything I want. It shows no corrosion after the couple months that I've been using it on my boat, which is a definite plus.

With a very safe and effortless feel to its parts and design, this Coleman grill works incredibly well so that you don't have to, and at $4 a bottle for approx. 12 sessions, propane is 12x cheaper than charcoal. So far this week I've grilled steak and bison on it and steamed a pot of rice - all to perfection. You can grill up to five or six burgers at a time, and two big boneless ribeye steaks. The grill heats up evenly from edge to edge, and the cleanup is simple - especially if you use a piece of tin foil below the grill. All you have to do is clean the grill when you're done and it's nonstick so it's a snap. Can't wait to take it camping. 20 years of gourmet cooking experience and 30 years of computer engineering is behind this review. For a camping stove, this thing is high class and fun to use.

It's wonderful. We had a power outage because of the storm. That's why I bought it. And I was able to have my coffee. I'm so happy.

This camping stove is really cool. On the left, you have a traditional stove burner that will heat up a small pot, pan or skillet. The manual recommends a 10" vessel as the maximum size. On the right is the grill. Unlike the other Coleman stove with two burners, this one comes with feet that can be attached temporarily, or screwed on for a more permanent arrangement. The feet elevate the stove above the surface of whatever it's sitting on. This allows a small grease tray to be fitted under the grease drain hole in the grill. It cooks quickly, so keep in mind that you will need to be pretty attentive to whatever you're grilling. This is not going to be a "low and slow" cooking method. The grill is designed to be compact for camping, so the heat source is very close to the griddle. Don't burn your weenies! Attached is a photo of both the burner and the grill in action. Overall I was very pleased with the performance of this item and would definitely recommend it. We actually own both the more common Coleman 2-burner stove and this one, so when camping we can cook on three pots/pans/skillets and a grill all at once. Camping is not an excuse for poor food. :)

Nice little camp grill. Assembly is easy, and it works very well. Remember that it has little plastic feet, so it does better on a solid table or camp kitchen. It doesn't work too well with the wire table tops (e.g., Coleman Pack-Away Deluxe Kitchen), so keep that in mind. Stove is also two feet wide, but allocate an additional four inches in width for the propane tank that sticks out on the right hand side (as you're looking at it). Our camp kitchen was just large enough for the stove itself, and the propane tank dangled off the side, giving the grill the tendency to tip backwards. I have a couple minor complaints with it - the slats on the grill surface are too narrow to fit most grill lighters, so you have to remove the grill surface to light the burner. Not a problem when the grill is cool, but this gets us to a second problem - the flame control knob lacks any detent or other feature so you know when it's at its lowest setting. You can turn it all the way off unintentionally, and then you'll have to use your igniter to relight the burner - a bit more of a challenge once the grill is hot! (and the grill slats are also too narrow for my grill thongs to fit through to lift it up). I'd recommend bringing some long matches to relight the burner since it can be very easy to accidentally turn it off when you only meant to turn down the heat a little bit. Other than that, it uses the standard Coleman 16-ounce propane bottles, and it seems quite efficient - we used the same bottle to prepare six meals over the weekend, so no complaints there. Overall, we're satisfied with the purchase, but we wish we had gotten one with a built-in piezo igniter

Nice little grill stove combo, I think Coleman is spot on with this product... Recently got back from a 2 week overlanding trip thru the Yukon and down the west coast of B.C. and the grill stove was my only cooking appliance aside from fire pits at campgrounds. During the trip I used it to grill steaks and chop’s, fry potatoes and make toast, boil water and fry bannock... the side burner is very typical of a Coleman burner where it takes a gentle steady hand to get a low simmer from the control knob, the grill side is much easier to regulate temperature but partially due to it being at times marginal to produce “enough” heat... don’t get me wrong it does a great job cooking steaks and burgers but if you want a nice sear make sure you pre-heat the grill for a bit... it’s not a typical patio BBQ with BTU’s to spare. Cleaning is not the most convienient feature of this grill but it is manageable with some practice. I did use a large aluminum frying pan on the grill side of the stove many many times and dident have any trouble however I wouldn’t put a cast iron pan on it and you need to watch how hot it’s getting closely to avoid melting the grill.

I have been using this grill for 2 camping seasons now and its been absolutely amazing, the element on the side works well, and the grill stays pretty clean.

Nice and light. Easy to set up and use. Not as sturdy as my 50 year old Colman White Gas stove so I don't think it will last as long, but the fuel is easier to deal with.

Fabulous little camping stove! Worked like a charm. Lots of space to cook up several things at once. Lots of heat. Tough to get a “low” setting (not a lot of variation in heat but some). But you quickly figure out the hot spots and move your food around accordingly. Easy to transport and set up. Highly recommend!
