Edgewater Parts 8558459 Dryer Screen Lint Filter Compatible with Whirlpool 22" length

I did a lot of research and finally was confident that this filter was correct for my aging drier. So many model numbers to cross check. The key for me was two reviews specifically calling out the Amana as accepting this filter. Very happy it fits and is working as expected. There were many other providers of this exact filter, but at much higher prices. Why?? Do your measuring and search for the best, lowest price. They’re all the same filter.

Works great as a replacement for the lint screen in my Maytag dryer. Old one rusted through at the bottom. Was amazed at how much STUFF got through the old one. The replacement holds the lint and it doesn't fall back into the dryer.

The lint screen on our dryer broke, so I ordered this as a replacement. The first package I got looked like it had been stepped on and the plastic handle was broken. I returned it and they did send a replacement. It is not an exact copy of the OEM, but it fits well and does the job. It feels flimsy and I think I will have the same problem of it breaking over time like the original part. However, have used for a couple months without issue.

I appreciate that I was able to find a replacement however my dryer is white as was the description of the replacement vent. As you can see it is definitely not white..more almond color. And for the price I paid I would think I would receive what I ordered .
