the analog stick is in a terrible position
to get it out of the way, the product is a bunch of buttons and that's great, but unlike almost every other type of this device, the analog stick is pointed straight up instead of placed at an angle on the side. this means that when you're actually using the device, you have to manipulate the analog stick with the side of your thumb, and it's incredibly awkward. i looked and looked and did see any way to adjust it, aside from sliding it further out from the buttons, so it really is just an incredibly awkward thing to use. i admit i'm afraid i'm going to give myself some sort of repetitive stress injury from using it, and i'm thinking about returning it and getting something more ergonomic.edit: i'm changing my stars and adding more detail. when you move the analog stick with the side of your thumb, it causes the rest of your hand to move with it, making hitting the buttons you want a lot more challenging. while this is an elegant device, i have to recommend buying something else more functional and fitting, as it'll save you pain (literally) in the long run.

It could use some improvements but it's better than most "gaming keypads."
CONS:So, I want to say first that yes, the analog isn't placed very well. I think it's height should go down about 1/4 of an inch or 5mm. I think it would also be nice to have it angled somewhere between 35-45 degrees in the direction right and backward towards the user to better fit the natural shape of the hand. I also wish the left side keys (6,12,18,22) were moved forward about half a key in distance and increased in size about 10% and the escape button about 20%. In a dream world, they would be mechanical keys, but this is perfectly fine. That's it on the hardware side. I wished the driver software were more accessible to find. You basically have to go to a google drive to get it as it's not on HORI's website. I wish you could copy layouts from profile to profile more easily.Pros: Despite wanting the left side forward a little more, the key placement is pretty good. It has a nice curve to it that fits pretty well to the resting hand shape. It's analog is an actual analog, which sets it above most gaming keypads right away since for some reason most similar products don't have an analog? (they are just like 1/3 of a regular keyboard so what's the point?) It's not some silly D-Pad that's being called an analog either. The horizontal adjustment for the analog stick is nice. I have mine set in the second position. The driver software works really well. You can reprogram keys set up multiple profiles and switch between them on the fly without needing to open the software again. I haven't had any issues slipping and sliding. It at least seems like it's made of a very hard plastic. It works really well. If Hori decided to release a second version with some of my recommendations (mainly the analog recommendation), I would certainly buy it again.TLDR: Pretty good overall but my main complaint is I wish the analog was lower and slightly angled down to the right.
