I like the size, weight (93 ibs) and combination instead of digital and finger print.The only thing I didn't like was that it was only one shelf and when I had questions about the safe no one would respond back to answer me.

Easy to mount with detailed instructions. The template worked perfectly with patience and measuring twice to be sure. Had to trim the edges of the template which required simple logic in my circumstance.Plenty of interior space to store everything.I wouldn't rely on this for good security however. You'll understand once you open it a few times. The combination is complicated which is comforting either way. I can not give a review on how well it protects against the elements yet, but I am very satisfied with the product.

If you are getting this primarily for fire protection it should do as its one of the few budget ones out there with a UL rating. Yes its heavy but the outside is some kind of plastic so it will protect against smash and grabs but not so much for people who decide to spend some time getting in. came dented in multiple places one place was punctured with the filling material coming out. The Manufacturing packaging is crap. 2 pieces of foam top and bottom nothing on the sides adn a very thin cardboard box. It Is shipped by amazon in the manufactures box so it was doomed to begin with. I am returning. I May buy again as I am mostly interest in the fire protection but may source locally. Also a safe of all things in the bright red and blue box from the manufacturer left on the porch is advertisement to all that you bough a safe. This is the first product I have ordered from amazon not boxes or wrapped.

Just tonight I purchased this at an area Lowe's store for $160, so it is way too early in the relationship for me to speak to much of anything about this safe. (I plan to come back over time to re-comment.)For my purposes, it fits the bill...so far.What I wanted in a safe was:1) a non-digital/electronic locking mechanism as I didn't want to have the possibility of failed electronics, batteries or whatever;2) large enough for what I have now and what I may wish to add (a couple of handguns immediately spring to mind), such as jewelry, more papers, keys, my passport, etc;3) "considerable" bulk that would make a would-be thief think twice about trying to take it (which gets me to thinking that I should probably put this on a lower level so if someone did try to take it, at least gravity wouldn't be working in their favor);4) good reviews (not so much the case with this safe);5) fire- and water-proof (well, no safe that I could afford is COMPLETELY fire- and water-proof), a level of which this one provides that, at least at this time, seems to me to be sufficient;6) affordable.After spending not a LOT of time reading reviews on safes, I ended up shopping at an area Lowe's...just to see what they had. So although I was not shopping at Lowe's for a specific safe, I did have some awareness about safes and some idea of what to look for and avoid. Again, this one met most of the criteria I had set.When I saw this one, I was interested. In reading the safe box, it seemed appropriate. So, I bought it.The safe came out of the box easily enough (given that the safe weighs about 2/3 of what I do, it was...ummm...amusing for my girlfriend to see my getting this out of the car and into the house, and then onto the floor so I could get it out of the box and start working with it). The documentation was simple and clear, providing spaces for the model, serial and key numbers.Both the keys and the combination/dial lock have worked flawlessly.As is noted in the product description, one tray is provided for the purpose of having an adjustable shelf. I like this feature, but wish only that more than one was provided. (I'll check the FirstAlert site to see if they can be purchased separately.)Also, I should note that the deed for my property and my Trust/Will do not lie completely flat within this safe, but it's darn close. (My particular deed and Trust/Will are LONG groups of papers.) So I should think that others will find the same to be true for them.Finally, note that I put all my items, at least so far, in ziploc-style bags...just to be safe (no pun intended).Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase and hope to have many years of great service from it.Thanks, and I will try to get back here and add to this review over the coming months.

Our financial advisor recommended this safe, and it is a great fit for what we need. Very solid and easy to operate. Fortunately, have not encountered water contact with it.

This product, while beautiful as well as functional, arrived with dents not once but twice. Yes, the replacement was also dented. The packaging was skimpy. Heavy black abrasion marks also indicated rough handling.

Typical Chinese piece of junk. Combination lock makes you feel important, but it only worked once. Good thing it comes with a backup key. Might as well only have the key and skip the fancy combination. Good luck ever returning this 80 pound thing for warranty.

This thing is a hoss. Combination within the combination. You can tell someone the numbers in the right sequence and I bet they won't get it open. You have to count turns between numbers exactly or you have to start over. Kinda cool once you get the hang of it
