Oster 2124087 DiamondForce Electric Wok, 4.7-Quart, Black

This wok has helped our Chinese Food cooking improve immensely. Great even heating and temperature control. The only drawback is that it retains heat so well that it sometimes takes longer to cycle back on then I like(if you call that a drawback.)

Wife wore out old one…had to replace with this new model…easy to clean…wipes clean with damp cloth…

I searched for a long time to find a good electric wok and am very satisfied with this pan. it is large enough for meals for 2 people but not overly large. made of good quality material and feels like it should last. the only suggestion I have is for the plug , I wish they would make an electric plug where it is easy to use the control to adjust the heat. this plug is too far under the rim of the pan to adjust without risking touching the hot pan. most electric pans are like this though . Also the cord is way too short. all in all I am happy with this pan and would recommend it.

So far we are quite pleased with this wok. It seems to heat evenly and maintains the temp very well. I do like the non-stick finish much better than the normal teflon. Just keep the METAL utensils away from it. It does clean quite easily. BUT, we don't care for where the control is located. It's hiding under the handle and makes it hard to see and adjust. And a slightly longer cord would be nice. Other than that,only time will tell about it's durability.

Really liked this wok, best stir fry!! Easy clean up with the non stick surface. My only complaint is you can’t see the temperature gauge. That’s kind of a big deal but I just use a flash light. Overall 4 stars since I can’t see the gauge but really liked it overall!!

Great Wok! Use it alot ! Good size and cleanup is a breeze!

Received it quickly, it works like a charm. Saves on electricity and easy to use. I ruined it using the wrong utensils. Caused the coating to lift, so now I'm ordering a new one. Use the soft silicone spatula and this product will last. It does use a bit of space but looks nice on the counter. Cool to the touch while cooking too.Very good price it was so affordable. I get the taste of eating out at home.

This product works great and the clear, vented cover is a plus because you can see the food even with the cover on. However, there is a big design flaw in the design of, and placement of the heating element and temperature control knob. From the pictures you can see that the heating element plugs in at the exact location and under the carrying handle. This blocks your view of the temperature setting knob and makes it unnecessarily difficult to reach in and adjust the controls. Additionally, to make a bad design matter even worse, there is very poor contrast between the physical temperature dial and the temperature demarcations, consequently, very poor placement of the heating element and dial is compounded by poor contrast in the markings and this makes it very difficult to adjust the temperature. Moreover, with the whole thing recessed and tucked underneath the Wok bowl, it's easy to contact the hot bowl with your hand while attempting to reach the dial to adjust the temperature. Oster could easily fix this by rotating the location of the element by 90 degrees (put it between the handle locations), slightly extending the plug in point away from the base and outward to provide better access and visibility to the controls and finally simply providing a high contrast between the dial and demarcations.

There is only one thing that could use improvement, the temperature control is under the handle and difficult to see.

So far so good. It's very light. Very easy clean up. The base will come off. 1 screw. Other reviews say the base won't come off. Maybe a mid production change. Yes, the temperature dial is under 1 handle. Not an issue for me personally. Overall, I like this wok! We'll see how long it lasts
